Hello all,

Several months ago I was given the project of building out our NOC, specifically the video wall. This is the typical "War Room" setup you see in movies.

12 Phillips 42-inch LCD panels were purchased from Costco. Incidentally, all came with a free Blu-ray player which we sold for $150 each.

We then bought 3 Dell Dimension rack-mountable workstations and places two dual-headed cards in each. So each workstation controls four screens.

Yes, I did try to play WoW, but it really wasn't worth it.

Here's our YouTube Video about it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdUbDeD1VDo

Wow, even if you mounted those around you in a kind of spherical way it would take alot of head movement to see them all and you would probably need to use some low resolution to read things on it. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up giving you some kind of cancer. Do you have a good cooling system in that room? I can imagine just how much heat all those screens give off.
