Hey Guys,

I have been researching for a very long time, trying to get to know dual-boxing without asking any questions, but I really have to ask :S.

I've searched and searched Dual-Boxing programs, but all of them seem to be not free and have some restrictions.. like you need to have 2 computers or somewhat like that. The only one that I think doesn't have that restriction is Synergy, but I can't figure out how to use it etc. Also, most of them have some complicated codes :P. Oh Yeah, I also just read about HotKey or whatever it is, can somebody give me some script and some help with it? I will only be having 2 accounts.

So, I need your help - Please help me out with finding some dual-boxing software, that is free, and is really easy to use - like Pwnboxer (don't wanna spend money though).

Also, I was thinking of dual-boxing a warlock with a holy priest, can anybody tell me how I can put the spells in such a way for the healer to target the warlock and the warlock to have a different target?

Thanks for reading this thread, and sorry for my newbishness.

Cya.

I would recommend a slight rethink.

As someone who produces "not free" software, I'd like to point out some facts.

The ease of use of software is always a factor of the effort involved in writing it. In other words, the easier to use, the harder to write.

Good software (especially software that is easy to use) takes a very long time to produce. It is never free to produce. In the real world time is money. If someone puts months (or years) of their life into writing software and gives it away, then it's exactly like them giving away money.

Support costs. Assuming that you don't want to be left on your own, then you'll need help. even though a community like this is full of people who are willing to help you, the author of the software will always need to have some involvement to keep the product alive.

When you get free software, you are depending on the good will of the Author to supply it and support it. More importantly they need to keep doing that. In many cases peoples lives change, and they no longer have the time that they once had. At this point a free product often dies. A paid product, produced by a company with paid staff recruits a new programmer.

There are many examples of good free software on the web, but given that you're already committing (an often significant amount) money to multiboxing, it doesn't seem sensible to limit your options by refusing to pay the small amount that people charge for multiboxing software.

Speaking for my team, we want to provide an easy to use product, with excellent support, and continue to provide improvements. To do this properly takes a significant amount of money. Ours is a new product and will continue to cost us for at least several months yet. Without charging a small fee, we simply couldn't continue to do what we do.

Well, if you realy 'need' a free software there are also at the moment some options like:

HotkeyNet, AutoHotkey and Octopus.

The first two ones are script based, so if you need a pretty gui, they won't work.
I personaly use HotkeyNet for all my boxing and ify ou need some help setting up HKN best way is:

- look at the sticky: [HotKeyNet] Guide: HowTo use HotKeyNet for boxing ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=16747')
- look at the reference/scripts on hotkeynet.com
- ask a specific question here, so that we could try to get you a working script
(or have a look on this thread:Old rat wanna try new stuff:) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=219117#post219117') , where i recently posteda 2-box script for a user)
