My specs= cpu: Intel E8400 Wolfdale OC'ed too 3.8
Memory= 4 Gig's Mushikinn DDR2 1066 mem

Power Supply Enermax 500 watt Infinity
Mobo= P35 gigabyte
I use Keyclone as my software multibox solution. all 4x slaves= limited to 15 fps each and all video setting's on lowest, main is set to unlimited fps and all video stting's to lowest except for draw distance is set to half.
I use 2 monitors 1x dell 24" ultra sharp (for main) and 1x view sonic 20.1 " lcd for slaves
Please tell me a set up that would totally change my world for wow in darlan.
im thinking bout the following for upgrades: #1 new OS 64 bit vista w/ a free coupon for windows 7
#2 another 4 gig's of memory
#1 and # 2 i would do together :)
#3 a intel quad core cpu (older model like a q9400 not an i7920)
#4 an ati 4890 gpu
Please tell me fastest way with least money spent to get great frames in darlan/wg, IE: if just a memory/OS upgrade will do thn thats all ill do, i dont wanna spend alot of money hehe:)

of your list. 1 & 2 would go the farthest. #4 would be a new Video card with a gig or more of graphics memory. #5 would be a SSD.
I'm running a quad-core, 64 bit OS vista, 6 gigs ram, 9600 GT graphics card and getting about 13 fps across my 4 wow windows. So getting somewhere above what i got should do pretty well for 5 boxing.

When I was playing on a dual-core, I noticed that it was better to not set my main to unlimited FPS. I kept that habit, and set the focussed window to 40maxFPS and the other to 10maxFPS (they are tiny anyway, really not disturbing).
As was said before, you should get 8GB RAM, which implies a 64bit system. I would also get a good SSD drive. It will anyway still be beneficial even if you upgrade your video card, processor or whatever, and I know that it made a huge difference for me in Dalaran.

I 5box on a core i7 with 12gb fast RAM, 30GB SSD (dedicated for wow), Asus 4850 512mb, and I was getting 3-5 fps in dalaran for months. Apart from spending more on my video card, there wasn't much more I could do to speed up my sytem. Soon as lax told me to drop my video settings to 1x multisampling on all my windows (and dropped the view distance), my frame rates shot up to 25-30fps in dal.

You have almost the EXACT setup that I am going to get this fall. Did you have to drop your multisample on ALL windows, or just the slaves? How is the video quality on your main screen? I don't want to drop that much cash, just to find out it "looks the same" as a standard Core2Duo setup.

I can turn up the main window's setting fairly decent without sacrificing performance - but view distance anything over halfway starts to casuse a bit of lag. The rest of the settings can be higher, but view distance is about 1/4 to 1/3rd. I struggled for a long time with why my FPS sucked (after spending that much $$ on a good system), and it turned out to be only the 1x multisampling >.< ... to be honest, my system is overkill - even for 5boxing.

Upgrade your video card to be on par with the rest of the system and I bet you'd see a big perfomance increase.
