Well, Since my brother bought a 1.8 Keyclone for me, and such and it didn't work very well because i couldn't use on both computers, so i was wondering
IF i buy 2 New 1.9 ?
#1 Will they ever expire? such as In the 2.0 Version i can't use them? if that comes out and i got 1.9?
#2 Will they always work connecting eachother?
And another question? What's the difference with 1.9 and 1.8?

Keyclone is for life from everything I read. All the upgrades are included with your purchase of a license. For instance your brother's 1.8 can install a 1.9 (g is the recommended one right now I believe) over it with no problem. If you buy 2 1.9s for your own systems you can upgrade them to 2.0 when 2.0 comes out.
I am sure Rob (keyclone) will chime in when he sees the post but to stop ya from wondering figured I would chime in :)
YOu can go to the keyclone website and see the differences between the different versions. I think you can only download 1.9g and 1.9h right now (I use h with out any problems but it seems there are some issues for some people)

Keyclone doesn't expire, the useage license is forever. At worst, you will need to transfer the license if you make changes to your hardware, OS or use a new computer, which is easily done through the transfer button in Keyclone.
They should always be able to connect to each other.
the only differences between versions is usually bug fixes and various features. Keyclone increments by letters, we are on v1.9h. It's been a while since 1.8 and will probably be a while more before 2.0, especially if Rob wants to get mean and start doing v1.90a. ;P

yes, your license is forever, but your system-id can change. when that happens, you just need to transfer your license from the old system-id to the new one. there is a handy little button below the 'expired' message that helps with that. takes about a minute (depending on your email server, ofc)
as for version numbers... before moving to 2.0, there is something i would like to add, so i am holding off as much as possible.
right now i am making a major overhaul to remove an unneeded subsystem (it was there because i used it to cut the corner and get playing as fast as possible). i am hoping to have a new version shortly, depending on RL time constraints. when it's available, just update your local copy and you'll be up and going.
if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a note.
have a great night,
Rob
