I am looking at the following system and I would like some constructive criticism on it. I'd like to stay in the approximate budget that it is in if not lower =P.

Processor - Core I7 920 ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4240166&sku=CP1-I7-920') - 279.99

CPU Cooler - Noctua - NH ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4350406&sku=N126-1006') - 79.99

Mobo - E145-2055 EVGA X58 ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4484386&sku=E145-2055') - 269.99

Memory - OCZ Plat Tri - Chan 12gb 13333mhz (6x2gb) ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4364393&sku=O261-6100') - 159.99 *If rebate shows up...*

Video Card - XFX GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition 896mb ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4910596&sku=P450-2641') - 189.99

Hard Drive - WD Caviar 320 gb 7200rpm 16mb Cache Sata-300 ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3179250&sku=TSD-320AAKS') - 49.99

Power Supply - OCZ GameXStream 700W SLI ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2235424') - 119.99

Case - Torn here

CoolMax Full Tower ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4146085&sku=C283-1187') 139 vs AZZA Solano 1000 ATX Full Tower ('http://www.directron.com/csaz1000.html') 79 *Rebate, however different site then the rest*

I have the DVD drives already from a former computer so that'll save that

Also added Memory Cooler ('http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2552605&sku=C13-8020') (29)

And Vista Ultimate x64 189.99

(Approx 1500 overall)

I want to start 5 boxing, heroics mostly and some pvp. I'd also like a larger case so I can upgrade my Vid card to SLI and add more monitors when I get around to it if I decide to. Also when the newer SSD's drop a bit more in price I'd like to snag one of them, any suggestions, comments etc would be nice. Also any idea on what kind of performance I might expect would be great.

Thanks for your time

looks like a great set up and you won't be disappointed. When you feel you need a bit more, the 920 has a lot of over clock room and it is simple to do. Otherwise the SSD will be the next jump to speed up the slow part of the system (HD is good but WoW eats data transfer)

You can get a better system for cheaper at www.buyxg.com. Check out the thread I have on the computer I just purchased:

New computer has been purchased ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=23361')

Basically it has everything you listed, except a GTX275 and an SSD. I'm paying 1650, but I have a wireless keyboard & mouse and headset that was at least $100 included in that price.

That site has some seriously good deals and they include shipping and assembly for the same price as you're doing for components.

Thanks for the site, I looked into it and the deals you got are basically gone everything is a bit more now, hopefully before I finalize my order I can see their new deals.

Kinda off my own topic here but has anyone tried the WoW Mouse ('http://campaign.steelseries.com/us/index.html') that could give feed back on it?

Thanks for the site, I looked into it and the deals you got are basically gone everything is a bit more now, hopefully before I finalize my order I can see their new deals.

I'm pretty sure the exact deal I got is still there. I ordered my computer mid last week and it's expected to arrive next Wednesday. Just enter the code "SUPER" at the checkout and it will apply the 5% discount. Below is my exact order. If you were to remove the wireless keyboard & mouse, the headset, then you could subtract out $87 leaving with a total around $1,570. Remember, this build has the GTX275 card with 1792MB memory, and an SSD in addition to the 500GB hard drive. Below isn't one of their specials, but instead using their configurator tool where you select exactly what you want for each piece.

I'm making it sound like I represent the company, but I just like to see good companies do well. I'm extremely pleased with the website, and feel they offer the best deals I've seen anywhere, and I want to see them continue to succeed. When I priced out the component pieces on Newegg, I found that www.buyxg.com was basically the same price (within a percent or two) and yet buyxg included assembly and a warranty (in addition to the parts warranty). The only downside is that you have to wait longer than you would if you purchased from Newegg and assembled it yourself (I love Newegg and support that site also, it's just that I'd rather someone else put together my entire computer even if it means waiting an extra 2 weeks to be done).
