hi all.

Frost DK tank and 2 x 'balance/resto' druids for dps and healing.

Now i think this is working well, ive completed about 75% of TBC
instances with the last one i did being sethekk halls at lvl
67/69/69(DK/D/D) with only one wipe, which was due to a pull that had 2
prophets... aoe fear is harsh.

have to say it took me 2 'practice' runs to suss the dungeon out and get things this smooth :)

Anyone else use a similar group? Id be fascinated to see how others have set this up.

They are all at 70 now, just waiting for my extra copies of wtlk to arrive and then off to utgarde.

Problem is im itching to start up another trio as i cant help thinking things could be improved... no time no time !

im using 2 pc's, tank on main pc and 2 wow instances on second pc for druids.

Software is Input Director and keyclone.

cheers

If I were to 3 box it. I would do a Paladin, Shaman, Druid. All can Heal and rez. Each uses a different armor set so there is no fighting for gear. They all can take a few hits unlike squishy clothies. They are going to fit very well with buff stacking.

im really not trying to sound like a sour puss or anything but im curious as to whether or not people have been 3 manning the wrath instances at level. i mean it may be possible and you should definitely give it a shot but ive not heard of this kind of thing. i mean maybe with an 80 or 2 tagging along but 3 70s in UK seems like youd be fighting for days (also with that comp i dont think you have replenishment so mana may be an issue). but let us know how it works please id like to hear about a success. also make sure to grab some quest gear before you head in there.

cheers for the input.

starbuck i did think of that combo, the sheer keyboard nightmare that would present has put me off :D
triple paladin stacking buffs would be nice wouldnt it?

Im really looking forwards to trying the wrath stuff.
my gear is ok for now, mostly socketed blues from the tbc instances.
mana is always a concern, but i have pots and innervate, i havent had a mana issue so far.

regards
to the fighting for days comment, yeh when i had a prot/holy paladin
duo i had that problem, tons of survivability but it just took too damn
long to kill anything
But i find the DK puts out really good damage
for a tank, howling blast, death+decay, pestilence+bloodboil and frost
strike to finish, and the double dots and double wrath/starfire from
the druids drop elites in under 10s.
I struggle more with fears and
mindcontrol as i cannot effectively counter it and with a small team
the MC is more devastating. Its totally doable but its a bit more 'edge
of the seat' than id like :)

anyway, i will be attempting UK in the next few days with my 3 70s, will let you know how it goes.

im
really just trying to find the minimum sized team that can instance at
level, my duos failed, the trio is going well so far but if i cant do
wrath then maybe i will have to add a fourth ! but the thought of
levelling another char from 1-70... nasty :)

had a quick go last night, lots of health on the mobs, see what you
mean about taking a bit longer to kill. only ran to the first
boss, the proto drakes+riders on the way caught me by surprise, had a
couple of wipes before i sussed the best way to take them down.
died on the first boss, he frost tombs a lot more than i expected,
almost constantly it felt like, just couldnt keep the damage off my
druids. tricky, think i'll use full resto spec and just grind the
boss down a bit slower. will have a proper go this weekend. I'll take a
bit more time and a bit less whisky :)
