Back in Dec/Jan I levelled 3 teams of 2 to 60 with RAF, and 2 of those toons are now at 80, but I'm a sucker for punishment and want to get 1 of every class at 80, so I'm thinking of RAFing again.

My query is this:
I'm fairly sure I remember reading that if you RAF like this - Main->NewAc1->New Ac2 then every 2 lvs new ac2 gains, they can grant newAc1 a level, and those gifted levels count in order for NewAc1 to grant lvs to my main - is that right?
If so that would be absolutely awesome, as my idea is not to multibox at endgame, just to have a choice on my main account :)If I do it this way, I can also boost the 2 new accounts through instances too, and still get the triple xp, which would be fabulous!

Cheers

If I am reading you correctly, yes to both. New toon on main linked to toonB linked to toonC all will get 3x exp as long as they are 3 levels of each other. Boosting on Main - toonB and toonC get 3x exp. toonB can gift newmain toon at any time.

And toonC gifts lv to toonB(if I refer accountC from accountB) and can then gift half of those gifted levels to MainA too IIRC?

In theory it is true but you are better off keeping them less than 1-2 levels apart. Then at 60, level second set to 30-31 and gift those 2-3.

What I did with a friend, we leveled to 60, and I had played 1-2 other toons on Raf account to pass the time when he was not on. We got first set to 60 and I gifted his second toon from 10-60.9. Sure would not of wanted to level a Rogue to 60 even with RAF.

Yeah, that's what I meant :)

I think I perhaps I didn't explain myself as well as I wanted - I would always level a RAF team to 60 before granting ANY levels, it was more the principle that I wanted to check - that I could grant some levels from account C to account B, then use the granted levels to give account B more levels to grant my main account's toons

so using a lv 31 on account B and gifting that 29 levels to 60 from account C, and then that new 60 on account B to grant 30 levels to a toon on account A (main)

Oh - and I TOTALLY agree about a rogue! (it's still the only class I've NEVER played, and I've been playing on and off since the WoW Beta!)

I did not see if there was an answer about the trickle up affect. If you have 3 accounts and they have a single link between them ( A -> B -> C ) and then you grant say 30 levels from C -> B. The now level 30 character on B would be able to grant 15 levels to A right? (So getting a character to level 60 on account C gives you 30 levels on B and 15 levels on A?)

something like that. All depends on the level of the giftor. Level 60 can grant 30 levels. The giftee must be at or below the giftor's level. Toon B can gift A or C as B is linked to both.

I thought the FAQ said the recruit can only gift a veteran account. So in the example I gave C can only gift to B and B can only gift to A??

A > B > C

C can gift to B
B can gift to A
C cant gift to A

That's right, but if you level a team to 60, then C can give 30 lvs to B (a different toon, say "b2" than the 60 team), who can give 30 lvs to A from the 60 toon, and 15 lvs to A from the 30lvs gifted to toon "b2"

It's pretty insane really

and 15 lvs to A from the 30lvs gifted to toon "b2"
Unless I'm mis-reading what you really mean, this is wrong. You have to earn the levels for them to be eligible for gifting.

In other words, you don't get gifting rights from gifted levels.

I'm 99% sure you can - although it's been a while since I did it so I can't say for certain, and am more than happy to be proven wrong :)

THere was a post here ages ago about it, but I couldn't find it, hence my original post!

the way i did RAF a few dayes ago.

mainaccount----RAF_1---RAF_2 AND_3. (thus requiring RAF1 in party for 3x bonus!)

when the first set of 60s was done on all 3 accounts i did this.

RAF_2 and RAF_3 gave 30 lvls each to RAF_1 thus that char was lvl 60 (yes i wasted the first 30 lvls. but i dun care ;).
that char in turn gave 30 levels to my mainaccount.

i did this twice. so the theory of: 30 gifted levels gives 15 grants in the next line in the chain.
and in turn thats 6 levels if the chain is longer.
that theory is true and working.
anything that hinders this means the linking isnt working or has been setup wrong by the owner.

I am doing semi whats being posted.

A reffered both my B and C accounts. Im using another account thats not linked in any way shape or form to level 3 priests on A, B and C.
The reason im doing it this way is so I can gift the 30 levels from B and 30 levels from C to make a free level 60 on A. Im doing this every 6 days untill my time runs out or i run out of toons to make 60 :)

I dont care about free game time or mounts. Im actually going to "throw away" account C when im done cause I have no use for it. Ill eventually use it for 10 boxing though.
