1. enable "click to move" on slaves
2. bind "interact with target" button
3. press new key when target goes behind
4. hit a movement key to stop them from running all the way to target
5. ???
6. profit

You must be targetting whatever you want to face (so if you are using focus targetting, you have to actually have your focus target targeted). Have 'click to move' enabled under options. Hit your 'interact with target button'. If your target is something with which you can interact, you will move to that target. So in this case just hit a movement key real quick after you hit your interact key to keep your hunter from running up and meleeing.

Just to clarify - this is a way to make your hunter face whatever it is you want him to face. This isn't some magical spin around key. You must have something targeted, and you must hit your interact with target keybind, and you must have 'click to move' enabled in your game options.

Under your key bindings, what key is bound for 'interact with target' ? Are you sure that whatever broadcasting program you use (keyclone, hkn, etc) is broadcasting this key?

Also if you are in autoshot range of the target(i.e. <35yds). Casting steadyshot will make your hunter turn to the target.

Has anyone found a really good method for using "interact with target" with casters? I've heard it can't be called from a macro, but I'm wondering if there is a way to stop movement or stop following through a macro while a spell is casting. I can't really think of an effective way to use this in PVP or high end PVE - having to press an interact with target hotkey then immediately press a movement button to break it is not exactly reliable.... unless maybe you could put it on 2 mouse keys right next to each other, use a foot pedal, or two keys really close, but even then....

I use the Nostromo N52 and I've bound 1 action to each main direction on the directional pad. Up is the Interact with target button, down is the backpedal button, left is the assist macro and right is my follow macro. This works for me in either melee or ranged situations as you always have your thumb resting on the D-pad. I quickly hit the assist and follow macros to make sure the slave is on target then when I'm ready to engage I'll hit the interact with target and quickly follow with the backpedal and the hunter will be facing the right direction. If the target moves, I just hit up and down quickly. simple enough for me.

With my current team of rogue/pally.. I'll stealth the rogue, backpedal the pally then when I engage with the rogue (cheap shot, etc) I hit the interact button for the pally so the pally comes running in and now both toons are in melee .. if the target moves or changes, a couple of quick hits on the Dpad and the pally is pointing in the right direction.

The only way to stop movement, is by using a movement key.
So hit W or S or one of the arrow keys.

I was doing the collect the fires quests with my team.
There was a flagged horde priest already there.
I was happy enough to gather the flame and not roast his ass there.

He decides to run into the midst of my now-flagged group and fear me.
I had dropped my first totems in the totem stomp macro.
So I had: Totem of Wrath, Tremor Totem, Mana Spring Totem and Healing Stream Totems down.

The Tremor pulsed about two seconds after the fear.
My slave shammies use target=targettarget, but my pally already had the priest targeted.
I clicked my assist macro (mouse thumb button) and my interact keybind (other mouse thumb button).
Then pressed my W key to break the movement.

Then it was a couple of seconds for 4x Flame Shock, 4x Lava Burst.

Interact works great with casters.
It turned my entire team towards my target.
