Hi!

Anyone know an addon able to see toons life/mana like a group?

Anytime I go in BG, I'm not in the same group of my toons. I'm boring to search where is my toons to see life/mana.

I know Jamba did that, but not view the mana and the castbar.

Thanks :)

I believe you and set Jamba to show Mana. I think you are looking for a program like pitbull or a raid program would also work

Pitbull have no options to track specific characters life/mana/castbar. And I don't find any UF/Raid addons able to do that.

Really? I have pitbull, and I have large boxes on the left side of my screen that show health and mana in large colorful boxes, and castbars underneath those big boxes. Wild... maybe you could try configuring it?

I have jamba and put the jamba team window just to the left of the minimap, it shows health, follow status and displays your box team regardless of the raid. To get it to do this you need to invite to your group, set focus, disband and then join the raid. There's probably a better way but this works for me.

@Solon: Do you have Life/Mana/Cast bars of your toons when they not in the same group of you when you are in raid in AV and not in the raid frames? I just look at Pitbull 4 and never seen an option to show just my toons life/mana/castbar when I'm in a raid. Weird........

@Simulacra: I know and use Jamba. But Jamba not showing me the life/mana(/castbar) when I'm in a raid.

Maybe my english is too bad to explain what I want, so I retry:

- I show the life/mana/cast of the group (Toons) with my actual Unit Frames addon (AGUF), when I'm not in a raid and work fine
- I know Jamba show health of the toons
- When I enter in BG (Like AV), I enter in a raid and my toons is not on the same group of me, so I can't see the life/mana of my toons like a group.
- I see the raid frames, and the life/mana of my toons in the raid frames, but I have 35 other players frames too. I lost my time to search my toons in the raid frames.
- I try Pitbull 4, Stuf, OUF, oRA2, ... and this addons not showing only the toons life/mana(/castbars) when I'm in a raid.
- oRA2 have an option to show and remain target's life but not the mana... So, I can use Jamba to show this!

I used to just pull the toon frames out of the default raid setup window and hide everyone else. Any other information I needed, I just glanced over at the slave screens.

I never worry about mana on my team as I'm more of a sniper lol

I use both Healbot and Jamba Team side by side.
Works well for me,the only problem is now in BG,as boxers have lost raid lead preference and get split up.
Hope this helps :)

OpenRDX has the ability to filter as directly as you desire. You can configure a set of unitframes to show only your team by name or any combination you can possibly imagine.

To date I have not found ANY other mod that lets you sort and filter what units you see and how you see them as well as OpenRDX. I'd suggest using OpenRDX with Brethern Raid Frames as a good starting point.

The basic filterset has LOTS of options... but what you really need is a named set...

You set your window to show just those in a specific list, then it doesn't matter what group they are in, as long as it's party or raid they show.

You can also use Grid for this. You need the following addons:
Grid
GridManaBars
GridCustomLayouts

Then you create new custom layout with line: nameList="Toon1,Toon2,Toon3,Toon4,Toon5"

This will show only your toons no matter what group they are in.

As one of the very few boxers on my realm (Caelestrasz) I'm reasonably well known and quite often the WG raid leader will ask if I want him to move my team to the same group. I get really nice comments like: You = Win!!!! - not true of course lol.

Another thing I've noticed recently is that I've started to attract a following of healers who nicely heal my team and will occasionaly get some other toons to protect my team so I can concentate on dps

I've been wondering about this myself recently. Thanks to everyone who posted their way on how to do this. I think I'm going to try out the Grid method too. One of my friends uses that addon to heal for raids but I didn't know you could make layouts with specific names for it.

I find an addon. Just the addon I use but the option is debugged in the last version.
Don't have a castbar, but it's not the most important.

Ag_Unitframes => Raid => New group => Name filter

Thanks for help!

Wild... maybe you could try configuring it?Can you have Pitbull display just the 5 members of your team, when you're in a raid and they're not necessarily in the same group?

Basically, if I AV and have Shm 1-2 in group 3, Shm 3-4 plus Pal in group 4, will Pitbull let me see all of them at once, and no one else? Can I put them into a group or something?

I tried the RDX suggested, but cannot even figure out how to get to the configure screen Zanthor is showing in an above post.

Grid is also listed as an option, but I really don't like the Grid layout.

Ideally, I'd like to have the party/group layout from the default Blizzard UI, but with the health bars a fair bit larger, positioned a bit differently, and displaying just my team.

I just ask if I can be promoted to assistant and then you can move your people around. Not a big deal and a lot of times for WG, you can get people in the habit of promoting everyone so they can invite. Yeah, in 3.2 no need for that, but still. I made a tiny macro to do the promoting. I am doing this from memory, so might need a tweak or two.

/script local num=0; for num=1, GetNumRaidMembers(),1 do PromoteToAssistant("raid"...num); End;
It only works if you are leader, but I try to start the raid inside WG about 15-20 mins early. Then I just tell everyone that they can invite people and I don't have to babysit the invites.

So just ask nicely (whisper raid leader) if you can be promoted to assistant and you can move yourself.

If you're on the same server as the raid leader, you or your group can be moved. However, in AV, you cannot move toons who are not from your server.

So if I am the raid leader, that works fine. Or if I'm promoted to the raid leader early, before the raid fills that's good too, because I can just move all of my toons to group 8 and be in the same group. But if the leader won't promote me and is not from my server then there's nothing I can do about my placement in groups.

I'm looking for an addon, which lets me see all of my toons at once, regardless of being in the same group or a different group from each other.

Unfortunately RDX has a million options and the documentation isn't that good. Not sure if Pitbull will allow this functionality or not. A prior poster stated that it did all of the things the poster before him said it could not do, except that when he said it does this, that, the other etc, he did not say if you could display your toons always regardless of group.

I cannot seem to find anywhere within Grid, to create a custom Layout. I went through each option within grid, line by line.

There doesn't seem to be a way to access GridCustomLayouts from within the game, but according to the addon information, it just gives grid features like auto adjust frame positions as you change frame size etc.

If I have no interest in the cast bars portion, mainly looking for a) my team is always displayed and b) I can run [target=mouseover] type macro's, do I need the GridManaBars option too, or can I get rid of that?

There you can create your own layout. After that you can choose your new layout for Party/Raid/BG.

You only need Grid and GridCustomLayouts for this to work. I just mentioned GridManaBars because OP wanted to see them.
As for auto adjust frame features... Are you sure you didn't read info for GridAutoFrameSize?

I got it working thank you.

The GridLayout addon on both wowinterface and curse were not the exact GridLayout which you had mentioned in this thread. Had to google search for it, but found it on wowace. With GridCustomLayouts instead of GridLayoutsPlus, it was easy to configure with your instructions.

Thank you.

Thank you.Umm.. I didn't mention GridLayoutsPlus in any of my posts? You can also find GridCustomLayouts @ Curse ('http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gridcustomlayouts.aspx') .

No you didn't.

But when I searched for Grid on wowinterface, it had related addons on another tab.
The GridLayoutPlus was one of the related addons, and there was nothing else to do with Grid + Layouts on their site.

Searching for Grid on curse, again Grid came up along with a bunch of grid addons, including GridLayoutPlus.

Not having this window open, I assumed Grid and GridLayoutPlus was what had been recommended.
Of course I was not able to get to the custom layouts which you had recommended.

Re-reading your post, it suggested GridCustomLayouts and not the LayoutPlus which I had downloaded.
I did a google search and found the correct addon on wowace.

To get it to do this you need to invite to your group, set focus, disband and then join the raid. There's probably a better way but this works for me.
There's an option in Jamba Party to show either XP or health :)
