hello, I bought keyclone yesterday and after reading through the wiki and forums I just can not seem to wrap my head around this one.

basically i want a keymap to have my priest(slave) cast renew on my paladin(master) using shift+F1

so i set up the priest keymap with Lctrl+F1 >> renew.party1
and gave my pally a keymap of Lshift+F1 >> renew.party1

now my question is, how will I go about casting renew on party member 1 if I use Lshift+F1. It seems to choose the spell when I push LShift + F1, but since it has no target it does not get cast. Is there an easier way to do this? I just want to set up all my F-keys to be healing spells for my party.

thanks

I'm very new to this as well (still doing my homework before starting to be quite honest) but as far as i can work it out, you don't need mapping keys for this. Just make a macro on your priest that says :

/target paladinname
/cast Renew
/targetlasttarget

then drag it to your actionbar (on the priest) and bind that key to Shift-F1

ok i finally got everything working, somewhat :P

what I had to do was use an addon called bindpad to make a macro and just bind it with any key(s) I need. You also do not have to drag the binded macro to your actionabar :D

here is the addon http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6385-BindPad-GUItosetkeybindingsforspellitemmacro.html

keep in mind, you don't have to use keymaps... they are just an option. i believe most people just synchronize the keys being used
