About 6 months ago I mentioned I was purchasing a new computer. My laptop can only 3-box and I wanted to move to 5-boxing. I purchased the computer, had some fun, and then the power supply blew up. Luckily I was still within the 30-day return period (there was warranty too but it was just easier this way) and I returned the full system. I decided at that point to take a break from WoW.

Well, I'm back, and a new computer has been ordered. I want to advertise for www.buyxg.com because I think they have great deals. I paid $1,654 for the following machine, including full assembly and shipping to Connecticut:

Quite nice :) Were you sure to have your OS installed on the non-SSD?

With my first computer that had an SSD (the one I returned) I made the mistake of having the OS installed on the SSD. This time I was alert enough to request they put it on the 500GB drive. The only thing going on the SSD is WoW (for now).

Cool machine you got there!

Makes me wonder though... what is the result. How is the five boxing going. Settings/frame rates ect.?

Earlier this year I had basically the exact same system except with a worse video card (GTX260 with 800GB) and then my power supply failed. Before that I was 5 boxing with ease. Dalaran was about 30-40FPS with very little to no stutter if I remember correctly. I had all video settings to max, with the exception of one. I don't remember what that setting was, but if it was at 75% then everything was smooth... if it was at 100% then the whole system was unplayable.

I'm out of town but will be 5-boxing next weekend on the machine. I'll update how the thing is doing with the GTX275 1.8GB video card.
