Low Level Shaman Team - Newb Question

I've done some research and checked thru the forums here. I've also scouted other people's armory pages to seek an answer for this. I've also never leveled a shaman before, so this is new to me.

4 x Elemental shamans is my team and I want to run instances with them.

Should i use a 1h weapon and a shield or 2h weapon? I see both on other teams. Thanks!

i think its pretty much whatever you can get youre hands on with int and/or spell power while you level.. then at 80 the itemization is pretty straight forward

I was just at a point where I was deciding if I should go get the shields from Krush in WC for all 4, or shoot for 2h wepaons, although I'm not really meleeing on any but my leader atm. It's fun learning a new class, and it's fun doing it in such a challenging way. My other multibox team's class I know inside and out before I ever decided to box em' so it wasn't this hard.

i wouldnt really bother with the shields off kresh for elemental shaman maybe the seedcloud buckler ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6630') off of verdan the everliving or the arctic buckler ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7002') from the bfd quest ('http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=6561') . i know the arctic buckler is considered the best caster shaman shield in the 19 twink bracket for what its worth :)

although with lack of any better caster shields for a lot of levels you may want to look into staves or 1 hander/offhand frill options. staves may be your best bet.

If you can get into Stockades, Kam Deepfury is an Iron Dwarf in there he drops this Kam's Walking Stick ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2280'). Very nice for leveling for a long while.

haha ive done stockades at least 60 times and that has never dropped... but it is a pretty nice staff

The staff from SFK is pretty nice, might be a bit higher of a level than is requested, but... Figured I would mention it.
