In about 2 hours ill be going into naxx 25 and im looking for a few macros that can help me out. I have 2100 spell power and im in crafted / ah gear thats gemmed. One macro Im using I got from here im sure and its

castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target vampiric touch, mind blast, mind flay, mind flay, mind blast, mind flay, mind flay
/cast devouring plague
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

anyone have any others that might help with dps rotation? Or point me to the thread that has them cause a search came up with stuff but nothing tht was revelant or that great.

I use two separate macro buttons for my dps priests, The first one is my big boss init pull macro, and i spam it until one key after i see the sw:pain up on the boss:

/cast [nostance] shadowform
/use 13
/use 14
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=14/combat/target ,,, vampiric embrace, vampiric touch, mind blast, mind flay, shadow word: pain, devouring plauge

The extra commas are not needed for solo play, they just allow my tank time to get some threat moves out there

The second macro I use after the first one has been run through, or just by itself for regular trash and stuff:

/cast [nochanneling,nostance] shadowform
/use 13
/use 14
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=29/combat mind blast, mind flay, mind flay, mind blast, mind flay, mind flay, mind blast, mind flay, , vampiric touch, mind flay
/castrandom[nochanneling] devouring plague, devouring plague, berserking, inner focus, mind flay

it's rather hack-ish on that castrandom with the single drop-through extra open commas, but is more reliable than some things i've tried, considering my gear haste is nothing like the guy at shadowpriest.com who has a more optimized version of these macros for raiding.

I manage anything from 1800-2400 dps in heroics depending on movement and backup healing requirements with about +1600 sp.

Sorry if i didn't make the 2 hour deadline

because sp have priority rotation, macros are good for boxing, for solo learn to play the class, you will gain at least 30% damage.

Thanks for the tips. ill add them today and see how it goes. On another note. I know how to play my class. Ive played every clase since release. I was doing a guild naxx run and boxing it for the first time. I chose to go the "ez" route just because i was boxing during the run.

Can I ask a stupid question? How does devouring plague ever get cast? I thought
/cast Spell1
/cast Spell2
Would cause spell2 to never cast? What makes it work in your instance? And I thought vampiric embrace doesn't cost mana and has no cooldown, so why not put it in and get healing for free?

Well im not sure it matters or or not but its only using the actual "/cast spell" for devouring plague
And although vampiric embrace dont cost anything, it does start a timer on other stuff. So its not added in the macro. At the start of the boss pull ill cast shadow word: pain and vampiric embrace to give the tank time for aggro. then ill use the macro. I was boxing 3 spriests in naxx last night and was very impressed. Others in the raid could not believe I was boxing 3 spriest.

One thing to note about SW: P is that it uses you current +dmg buffs when you start it, and if you are set so that your mind flay refreshes the duration, then it always uses those +'s forever. So it's usually good to get a few stacks of shadow weaving (best is to get all 5 stacks first) to boost the periodic damage for it's lifetime.

It's due to lag in castsequence(and only castsequence, castrandom and cast don't have the hole). For functionality, if a macro gets to a cast sequence, you're off the gcd, and the lag is in effect, it will go to the next cast/castrandom/castsequence, but it won't cast the next spell in the original cast sequence no matter what. At least that's the functionality I get out of it. The lag is in effect after any non-instant cast, although theoretically might not leave a gap for casts that are faster than the gcd if your latency is good.

Thank you so much, /bow. I didn't want to be telling people the wrong thing and didn't want to miss out on some hidden "feature".
