Boosting SM with Boomkin

This is me boosting low levels in Scarlet Monastery. I usually boost with my feral druid, but since one of my low levels is on that account I had to use boomkin instead. I bought dual-spec because I needed different talents and glyphs. Most of the killing is done with Starfall, Typhoon and Hurricane. This is why I skipped most of the wrath/starfire talents.

When I boost anything SM + I put my loot on Master looter and threshold BLUE. Then pass on all loot. This way if any boe epics or blues drop i can sell for repair bills.

Oh ya, the video was very educational. Why don't you just go all the way to boss and pull him to entrance? It aggros all the mobs and it's a lot easier.

You can pull all of them by sneaking at the cathedral door and open it then pull the boss. Guard wont aggro level 80 while opening the door. You can sneak by the fountain

I think couple of times that i tried this it didn't agro mobs at the courtyard, at least not all of them. Also since Whitemane is too lazy to run to the entrance, you won't get to kill her, you just stay in combat until you run out.

EDIT: Tested this again. After pulling Mograine to the entrance and killing them, there were still 40 mobs left. And you never get to actually kill the boss. Not good. I will stick to my old tactics. ;)

I never realised the four wings were all one instance (with regards to instance lockouts).. doh :)

Same here. I've done 100's of characters never knew that all of the instances in SM are 1 single instance. I always thought they counted as more then 1 for the reset. /lol

That will drop a few hours from my 1-60 time /LOL

hrm it isnt working for me.... I tried extracting it to my addon folder and it gives me this weird error that there is an identical file in there and it wont let me overwrite it.

Are you sure you extracted to "Interface/Addons" folder?
Did you extract it with folders? (NiceDamage folder also contains Backup fonts folder)
Are you using PC or Mac? Does your operating system restrict you from writing files?
Do you have any other font addon such as Clearfont?

Strangely it started working when I fired up WoW for the third time. However, anything that affects my main is normal font... but anything I do to slaves is the new font. Weird.

I tried this with my 71 boomkin with northrend greens/blues. Only problem i am runing into is that some of the wings have some type of mob that spell inturrepts.......leaving me helpless for about 10 or so seconds that i cant cast any spells. Do you just resist it at 80?

K, i just read the wiki and there are mobs that kick......any way to avoid this?Not really. In SM i get interrupted every now and then, but it doesn't bother me. Rejuv is enough to keep me alive.
But wait until you get to Stratholme! There you really need to HoT up before trying to cast anything because interrupts are much more frequent. I have died couple of times pulling massive groups and getting interrupted while casting regrowth... ;(
You can get some distance to mobs with typhoon and cast hurricane right after. That way you get at least 1-2 ticks before interrupt. :D
