The real question is... how much do you need to 5box without lag (from your end, obviously cant stop server lag) and stay connected to vent, say.

I should try that from home. I'm on shaw.ca, on their #3 connection speed service (they have four, hi-speed lite, hi-speed, hi-speed turbo, and hi-speed insane which costs an insane amount/month)

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest has good tests closer to you (I use the flash ones) for better ping times

In my area, Shaw offers Lite, High Speed, Extreme and Nitro.

I've got the Extreme, or 3rd one. Not the very expensive option, hehe.

111ms ping
10.7 mb/sec down
905 kb/sec up

Speedtest.net ('http://www.speedtest.net/') has a nice test too and servers around the globe. :)

Dang Krcycek you got a heck of a connection going there. Nice numbers, are they real? Thats a hell of a connection if you do.

With Shaw.ca turbo internet (not the ridiculous expensive one, the next highest tho):

22.2Mbps down
828kbps up
105ms ping

According to DSLReports (testing vs Chicago server):
20.1Mbps down
873Kbps up
35ms latency

down: 12 mb per second
up: 2 mb per second
ping: ~32 ms

Sadly this line doesn't work right now because of the defect modem and I'm running now on:
down: 400 kb per second
up: something even worse
ping: ~200 ms

:/

Wow, you're getting a poor connection on Extreme! I'm also on extreme (winnipeg) and get 22mb/s down! :)

http://www.speedtest.net/result/514180555.png ('http://www.speedtest.net/')Hot damn. That is fast. You are also testing a server 100 miles away.. lol.. I dunno if my speeds would stay the way they are if I tested a further server.

Holy crap. I thought at first you must have posted the speed from your office, but I see that ISH is a subsidiary of IESY / Unity Media.

What package are you on? I have their 20Mb package, and the biggest I can see on the Unity Media website is 32Mb!
