Well 2 anyways, but I think we will see it on all casters deep talents eventually.

Empowered Frostbolt now also reduces the target's healing received by 7/13/20%.

Improved Mind Blast has an additional effect - while in Shadowform your
Mind Blast also has a 20/40/60/80/100% chance to reduce all healing
done to the target by 20% for 10 sec.

Great, just what they needed. Mages are already pretty damn powerful in arena's. The shadowpriest one, I can see that.

This is the stupidest shit I've ever heard.

FFS STOP ADDING SHIT TO THIS GAME.... START TAKING SHIT AWAY AGAIN !!!!

I remember bitching about the new shit when wrath came out. Hunters getting spell deflect like warriors, Dks getting spell immune etc etc. I said "Give it a year and every class will have every mechanic." Well here it comes.

And also.. even if I was in favor of this... don't even ask how they think it's balanced to give ONLY a couple casters MS. Why not give it to everyone? BETTER YET.. JUST REMOVE THE FUCKIN MECHANIC ALTOGETHER and buff existing mechanics to create balance.

GRRRRR......

improoved blizzard = aoe 20% ms effect .. woohoo + FoK rogue = deadē

edit: a MS-effect means "Mortal Strike" it's a debuff which reduced the gained healing by 50%, atm only hunters (aimed shot) warrios (mortal strike) and rogues (wound poison) have this ability, with patch 3.2 frostmages an shadowpriest will get this ability (but only 20% not 50%) too.

Well, this is on Test Realm.
Nothing there is guaranteed to go live.
At the same time, anything there is a consideration to go live, so maybe.

The two classes might be an experiment...
Time will tell.

beyond retarded to give it to mages. seriously, they did not need a buff!

edit: why don't they just auto debuff everyone in arena to receive only 50% healing and call it a day?

edit: why don't they just auto debuff everyone in arena to receive only 50% healing and call it a day? This is an easy fix, but I think you would see alot of healers upset. You might see more comps going without healers altogether and I dont think that is what they want.

An easier solution might be dropping down melee MS to 30%, giving it to Ret/DK also and then giving 20% to casters and letting them stack to a max of 50%. This would get rid of cleave and you would see alot more caster/melee/healer teams. Alot more variety in possible comps.

That seems like a great idea! Should post it on the forums, although anything posted there gets pushed off the first page quickly.
