Me and and a friend decided to box two chars each, so our current setup is SK/Fury/Warlock/Defiler.
We've currently only been doing dungeons for xp and tried to aoe most of it.
So far our progression has been Wailing Caverns, Fallen Gate, A tiny bit of Bloodline Chronicles, Nektulos Castle, Deathfist Citadel and Obelisk of Lost Souls.
Atm we're all 50 and looking towards new challanges. Any tips on preferable dungeons? We're thinking of going to Solusek's Eye next.. but it would be nice to
hear where other boxers usually level up.
Edit: Oh yeah, how hard are the TSO dungeons that scale from 50+ on 4 people? Might be 5 since we have a necro that joins us now and then on our adventures :)

Since I started doing my 6 man team I've been using this website and its been working very well.
http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Dungeon_Timeline
It is also separates out the instances from the shared dungeons which is cool too.
I'd be careful about going into any of the zones when are you are the minimum level listed. A lot of the mobs, especially bosses will probably be orange which can make things difficult, but if you are good, you can still do it.
If you can do it, the Mines of meldrath is a fun/short instance. As is the court of innovation. Hidden Cache is nice also, small, but good amount of mobs to kill and decent named.

After 50 you need to go in DoF add on with the flying carpet quest ;o.
The Hidden Cache ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Hidden_Cache'), Scornfeather Roost ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Scornfeather_Roost'),Ancient's Table ('''http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/'http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient's_Table''''),Cazel's Mesa ('''http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/'http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Cazel's_Mesa''''), The Clefts of Rujark ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Clefts_of_Rujark'), The Living Tombs ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Living_Tombs'), The Shimmering Citadel ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Shimmering_Citadel'), The Sanctorium ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sanctorium'), Vault of Dust ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_of_Dust'),Poet's Palace ('''http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Poet's_Palace''') if i remember correctly
the only zone worth to farm IMO are Cazel's Mesa ('''http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Cazel's_Mesa''') , Poet's Palace ('''http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Poet's_Palace''') and maybe Ancient's Table ('''http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/'http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/''''http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient's_Table'''''''') if you have time to spend :) the others are good for AA, you can try Scornfeather Roost ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Scornfeather_Roost') you get sometimes better than treasure chests, the others zones got crap drop rate.
there is some good zone to visit in EOF add on too:
Mines of Meldrath ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Mines_of_Meldrath'), Klak'anon ('''http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/'http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/''''http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Klak'anon''''''''), New Tunaria ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/New_Tunaria'), The Lesser Faydark ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lesser_Faydark'), Court of Innovation ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Court_of_Innovation'),
then you can try Nektropos Castle: The Return ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Nektropos_Castle:_The_Return') if you like the zone ;P
edit : some links are just not working >< oh well...
all is here :

wiki is not up to date, most item have better stats now after the revamp.

Thanks for the quick answers shdwdrgn and mesmerise!
I have looked at the timeline wiki before. The problem for me is that eq2 wikia can feel really outdated sometimes.
Not even to mention the official forum, especially when it comes to older content. But it's good to know that
the info generally is correct :)
I'd write a longer reply if I had time, but apprently I have to go to IKEA now >_>

best zone to farm masters in at 80? ( level 70+ masters )Kunark Zones - Sebelis, Chelsith, Voes, Maidens, etc ... In 3 mos of farming those zones (trying to do all four everynight), I made over 4,000 Plat off selling the masters and legendary gear. And if you get your crafting up to snuff, you can 'sell' shards (since they only need to give you 1 shard for you to make the gear)... And/or, if you 3-6 box, you can 'sell' the other spots on your team for Shard Runs... Those I know charge ~ 5pp for each shard, and something like 5-10pp per shard run...
Be creative, as your own group, the sky is the limit... and there are plenty hardcore solo'ers out there that will pay good cash for shards.

Have to totally agree with Asg - for uber-pps, hit the RoK dungeons for masters and sell to the highest bidder. I am in the same situation where I have made many-many Mithrils (Mithrils = 1000pp) purely from speed-masters farming the old RoK dungeons - so much so I have no idea what to spend it on anymore (and that is the honest truth). Masters sell for anything from 30pp to 150pp (ppl tend to bawk at 200pp on my server) - on average, I get around 70ish pp per master which makes it all worthwhile.
I'll lay a plan of attack out for you that I use to make many plats no matter what expac is current:
- there are 2 types of expacs (SoE always follows the same scenario)
-- the first is where the level cap is raised - this is what will be happening soon (i.e., new level 90 cap)
-- the second is where the new expac keeps the same level cap but raises the aa cap or something similar (like what happened from RoK to TSO)
So to start with the first, a new expac is released with a raised level cap.
The easiest way to make many plats in this situation is to mercilessly farm the new expac dungeons. I am positive we have all come across instances where 'new' items sell for uber plats yet a few months later, the same items are basically vendor trash. This is where you make the money - go out there and grab the new loot, adps, trade books, 'whatever' and flog it all. It is very important to keep an eye on the market prices (Zam will be a great help now as we can all see how much other servers are selling items for). After each dungeon run, check and recheck your sales board and adjust prices if necessary but keep pushing the stuff out the door as after the initial rush, prices will drop (sharply!)
Another benefit of this is you might get a few server 'firsts', maybe even a game-wide first - which is good for e-peen stroking (i.e., if you are the first person to ever find an item, your chars name will appear on the item when ppl look it up on eq2 players and stuff like that)
Second type of expac, new expansion but level cap remains the same
Now this is where you can make the serious money - and quickly.
I'll lay a scenario out for you using the RoK to TSO as an example. We all know that the latest expac's AC and weapons will be uber compared to the old expacs - so simply, race off and get your TSO T2 AC then go back and mercilessly farm the old expac dungeons (i.e., RoK).
There are a few benefits from going back to the old dungeons (in this case RoK):
- not many ppl will be farming them as the new expac is more 'exciting' --> less items from these dungeons for sale on the AH --> higher prices for old world items (assuming they are still wanted)
- you will most probably have the latest and greatest AC and weapons (TSO) --> faster farming of old dungeons (RoK) as the mobs weren't designed to be attacked with such 'powerful' items --> less chance of death
- a good chance (not always) there will be new and improved flight paths, bells, boats, etc., as simply, SOE still wants ppl to frequent these old zones to spread the server load --> even faster travel between old world dungeons --> even faster farming
- a demand will still exist for items which can be sourced from these old world dungeons (in this case lvl 71 - 80 masters)
- the possibility of finding a few no-drop fables which 'may' still desirable enough to be sold (i.e., sell looting rights for something like a carotidcutters ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Carotidcutter'))
So, in this case, it is very easy to simply string some RoK dungeons together to form a speed-farming loop - something like:
- hammer to chel, bird to voes, run to maidens, port to KJ, bird to seb, CoA, then zip down to lower seb for a look-see (tend to leave it last due to being a public dungeon and more than 1 group down there sucks), finish by evaccing back to the seb entrance and hammering off the easy frogs there to get back to chel for the next days farming (I use the frogs as the clothies will take a lot less damage hammering off them)
- personally, I have a look in chardok once in a while but I tend to leave it out of the main farming loop as I feel like I am 'wasting' too much time travelling
Following this simple outline will give you a good chance of netting yourself a lot of coinage plus masters - and even if the masters you want doesn't drop - you can pay any price for it without even blinking :)

asg/Noxxy, Have you guys noticed a change in the price of masters since the research assistants went in?
Also, I tried the shard thing a couple of weeks ago and it didn't work. I had the person put in less shards than what was required and it wouldn't work. if they had enough in their inventory it would take whatever else it needed out of it, but if they didn't it just wouldn't work. Have you tried this recently and had it work? If so, what's the trick?

Not really @ masters price change - sure, some 'rare' masters have dropped a bit as most ppl would insta-train them straight from the get go but mostly things are the same
The way I justify it to myself is simply -
- we have x months to go before the new expac
- we can only get 1 end-game master per month
- we have more masters then we have available months to train
- therefore, GOUGE BABY!!!!!
Things may change with the new expac but the demand for masters will still be the same -
- new expac, released
- ppl go out and race to 90 in under 1.5-2 weeks
- these ppl most probably would have started to train a master at say level 81 giving themselves a low level end-game master
- they also get the class master for free (at around 84ish??)
- therefore, at 90, they 'should' have 1 master (class) with another on the way (trained) within a week or two OR they could then cancel this training and credit the amassed training (less the penalty) towards their 'uber' class defining master
- but, they still will 'need' 25?30? masters
- plenty of time to gouge
I am betting the prices of end game expac masters will jump for the first month? maybe 2?? then start to settle - this will be the raiders filling up their spell books + the fact they have the coin to spend - after that, I honestly think ppl will always be willing to spend the coinage as they get their spells 'now' vs 'later' - and honestly, lot of ppl have a lot of coin out there
No idea what you mean with the shards - sounds like your trying to get a player crafted TSO item? (i.e., commissioned) - best to ask a tradey - all I know is you need to stand near the trade equipment required (i.e., forge or whatever) and make sure you have all the required items)

I haven't tried the 'Shard Sharing through Consignment' thing in like 6 mos... so they might have tweaked it in a patch... Those Bastards, they killed Profit!
As for Master prices... I'd call Economics. The last of my high level masters all sold about 2 mos ago. If anything, I've seen the price on SK Spells skyrocket, and paladin spells drop through the floor. But i only pay attention to my active team's spells, so who knows... And thanks for reminding me about the research assistants... I keep forgetting about them!
And Noxxy's advice on the new Add-On... He's spot on. 6-boxers (or peeps who box full groups in mmos) have a distinct advantage when it comes to a new Addon. If you work hard and fast, you can literally control the market. Don't forget to colect Shineys, there are numerous peeps on each server who want to be FIRST in discoveries and will pay insane amounts of cash for a rare shiney.
But honestly, with my team at level 55+ (including the tank), I have only bought Adept spells and have not purchased any player made armor. All of my armor and weapons are looted, and it's working great. No, I can't take 10 triple up yellow con mobs like i can w/ my mentored lvl 80 team, but I don't NEED to either :). I'm selling everything I loot for cheap or to a vendor. and saving all my cash for lvl 67+ spells and armor.
YMMV
