Well i'm new to this, so I decided to download Octopus 1.3.8 and test it out with two characters on the same computer. They both jump and cast well, but when I try to run, the second character trails away from the main one (I don't know how else to describe it); but what basically happens is that they both start in the same position, and one gradually ends up 20 yards away. (any idea how to fix this issue?) XD

I've turned the Video Quality down, and i've done "/console maxfps 20" for both windows, and both UI's are identical.

It's probably the character allignment or something, but come on how are you supposed to get their allignment 100% the same.

Specs:

=====
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU
Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
2.40 GHz, 2.00 GB RAM

Display: NVIDIA
GeForce 9500 GT
Integrated RAMDAC
Approx total memory: 512.0 MB
Current Display: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Both are set to 800x600 - (Windowed mode)

It also looks like the second character doesn't respond to movement when holding the left + right mouse buttons down - which is a big hassle for me as this is how I prefer move.

Anyway, a huge thanks to anyone who can help me out. At the moment i'm just poking at random settings, with no idea as to what they mean or what they do..

I would have gone with KeyClone, but heard that the validation thing every time you start up is a pain in the ass.

Sorry i don't know much about octopus but what i can tell you is that most of us here use /follow instead of running with all chars. We disable the WASD keybindings on the slave and make it follow the master.

Yeah, its too hard to try and control all the characters movements. Just move around your main and have the secondary character /follow in line. Makes life much simpler :)

Ah ok, thanks for the heads up; but wouldn't that mean you have to switch between windows to accept/turn in quests?

..I've also noticed that the camera freaks out whenever I left or right click. o_0;

k, thanks again, i'll go set up the keybindings. <3

Hmm, I was using a two system setup originally with keyclone and synergy that would give me a camera freak as well when ever I clicked a button on the 'client' machine as far as Synergy was concerned. Might be something going on there if yer set up is something similiar.

As for having to do the separate clicks for quests I use my assist macro to make sure all of my shammies are targeting the guy then I use the Interact with Target (Its a key bind you can set in WoW) so they all load up the quest window. Jamba takes care of the rest with making the clones/alts/slaves do whatever the master account is doing.

Hope that helps, not that I can help with the weird mouse thing, just that I have seen it and that is why I use a single system now :)

Instead of unbinding the WASD movement keys on your slave chars, you might instead just set up a do-not-pass list in Octopus. That way, when you mouse into a slave window, WASD will still be available to move that char independently.
