I've got 11k gold on Gorefiend Horde side that I'm looking to trade to get some gold on my new toons on Executus Alliance side. If you're interested please PM me and we can set something up :)

what are u trying to setup? payment=?
What you would have to do, is through the nuetral AH, sell something to the othere person (ei. me), then have me x-fer that character to the other server and trade you the gold. But how would 1. pay the person doing this service?

2. why not do this process urself, if u have multiple accounts?

Transferring gold from one side to another is illegal. I actually had an account banned for it once upon a time.

Also, there's a maximum amount of gold that a character can transfer with. I think you have to be level 70 or higher to take that much gold :/

o_O

Is not.

I've done it several times.

This was pre-TBC, I guess the policy may've changed. They said it was a manipulation of the economy and kaput, the account was gone.

Even if it's currently legal, the character would have to be level 70 to transfer it with that much gold :/

I have been cross-faction trading intensively from early in Vanilla WoW. That's how I make my gold, basically. So have been a lot of people on another forum I attend that is dedicated to WoW Economy (Azerothian Trade Union). I was taking advantage of the system on such events as the opening of the gates of AQ (was it called like that ?), when different materials had to be turned-in for Alliance and Horde. I litterally made fortunes doing that.

I have never heard of anyone getting banned for this kind of thing. I'm even pretty sure it was confirmed legal by blue.

Anyway, it is a much better approach to buy stuff on one side, transfer it through neutral AH, and resell it on the other side. It avoids losing a lot of gold on Goblin's cut. Also, with well chosen items, some profit can even be made

This reminds me when our guild all wanted the thug shirt from the undead. I created a new account on the horde side and leveled a char to 40. created new lvl 1 chars and gave the shirt to my newly created 40. 40 times! then ran to the ah in tanaris and listed them for a silver each..... ahhh good times there.

It's not illegal, and this topic has popped up several times on the forums here already.

Ideally you won't have to transfer through the neutral AH and just find someone rerolling horde willing to trade. Makes it harder if you're going to a different server though.

If anyone on Skywall wants to exchange gold from Horde/Alliance I've got about 90k alliance and 20k horde and I'd do the trade for a small (5%?) cut! :D

11k gold isnt so hard to make. takes a couple of weekend with a newly made dk, and invest your time in leveling up mining and herbalism. yea i know.. boring. well just an option.

Only about 10 of them, though. I think they look really good on Night Elves. :)

You're a multiboxer, so you with a bit of work you can have a slightly easier time on the neutral AH than other players.
First scan the AH on both factions for a week or so. Buy 11k worth of bargain price items that are likely to sell well on the other faction. Late at night park an alt at each of the neutral auction houses/auctioneers, so you can make sure no-one else is there to 'snipe' your auctions with an auction-botting mod (using one of these is bannable. The feature was removed from the auctioneer addon at Blizzard's request, but there are still people who use modified versions). There's one auctioneer in Everlook, one in Gadgetzan, and 3 in Booty Bay (By the bank, the exploding chicken, and downstairs in the building with the knife thrower). You can do this bit without multiboxing, except you'd either have to log out and in again a lot, or find some friends with vent/teamspeak. Trade items from one faction's alt to one on the other faction at 1c each, and avoid the 15% auction house cut. Easy Buyout in the auctioneer addon makes quick buying easy.
Or you could just wait until the faction change thing goes live.

Oh, and if anyone is on Alliance side on EU Eonar, I've got a gnome looking for guild signatures for <Horde Twink Supply Dept>.

You'll get a message that says you can't bid on your own auction. I've tried it before.

Well, as a boxer, one account lists, and an opposite faction different account purchases. The 1 copper should be affordable.

I've found enchanting mats to be excellent for purely transfering wealth, although playing the economy in the sense of items sell well on one faction but not on the other - and can be bought cheap on one side and sold for a lot more on the other side - is an opportunity too.

Auctioneer allows for Alliance scans, Horde scans and Neutral AH scans, with separate data for each. Also if you scan on more then one server, it differentiates server data too.

Do it at a low server population hour or you are asking for someone to steal it.

OP could be implying that he wants to swap some gold and not trade via auction house. e.g. He has 11k gold on alliance and you have 11K gold on horde, he will give his gold to you and you will give your gold to him.

AFAIK that's against EULA as it's a form of RMT, there might be no cash exchanged but there is an out of game trade.

I believe the OP is talking about a server AND faction transfer.

So the whole Alliance-to-Horde thing is moot.
