View Full Version : With RAF, does paying the 20$ give a free month?

Say I have my current account that I play normally on. When I set up RAf with 1 new account, I get a 10 day free trial on the friend account. After the 10 days, the friend account needs to upgrade. To upgrade, all the friend needs to do is pay 20$? Now, doesn't a month of time come with the upgrade for the friend? So does that give my main account a month free? So basically it's like I would be paying for the next month on my main account and I'd have two accounts for a month with only a loss of 5$?

I'm so confused, can anyone explain why the would/wouldn't work?

When you buy the original vanilla WoW box, you do get a month. You don't get free months with the expansion, tho. So whatever the cost of the first WoW box is, (I think it's probably 20 now) gets you the game and a month.

I think his question was when he plugs in the vanilla wow CD key to the recruit account does the veteran account get a free month, and the answer is no. The veteran account gets a free month as soon as the recruited account PAYS for a month of game time by any means (monthly subscription or game time card) This means once you pass the 40 free days (10+30) on the recruit account and then pay a month or more by subscription or game card, that's when your veteran account gets a free month.

Believe, according to the FAQs, that if you pay with a game card its immediate. Game cards are applied instantly where as normal CC billing cycles are only done when they need to be renewed.
