So I'm planning on putting my config and rig to the test with my next group, and leveling a mixed group with your standard trinity of healy/tank/dps...

Classes/Levels as planned:

Aazan - 70 Paladin, Good Holy & Prot gear from TBC Raiding Gnusmas - 70 Priest, Average Holy Gear Canadienne - 51 Druid, Amazingly Crappy Boomkin Gear (RAF Victim) Bazan - 70 Mage, Average DPS Gear Zanthor - 62 Rogue, Rocking level 60 epicsCurrent plan is Pally Tank/Priest Healer with Druid/Mage/Rogue as DPS.

Rogue will interact with target/click to move.
Druid will stand at range and boom boom.
Mage will stand at range and boom boom.
Priest will stand at range for heals (though I'm considering driving the healer and using click to move on the Pally)
Pally will most likely be main control character as Tanking is sorta movement intensive... I have click healing already configured with broadcast.

Anyhow, why am I in the macro's forum?

I'm working on building a compilation of macro's that will give me reasonable DPS out of the 3 dps toons and good threat out of the pally. This will be a work in progress over the next month or so and I'll congeal my thoughts here as I do the work.

Notes for followup:

I should mention that I am not trying to thread hijack. You have given plenty to the community through the Innerspace writeups and other endeavors (I use Innerspace because of you). All of this information was gleaned from this site and then put to my own uses. I do not take any credit for 99% of this stuff as it all came from here, I may have tailored some of it slightly to my own uses... everyone has their own style :)

If this is too much for your thread PM me and I'll edit this out.

I'll share my macros with you. I am running this already, but with an elemental shaman instead of a rogue. The totems add a huge DPS increase to everyone and the elemental oath buff is pure gold for casters.

I should probably mention early on that I use a targetting focus macro so that my guys can dps while I have something else targetted. You will need something similar to this if you raid Naxx or higher. This macro corresponds with the first line of all the DPS macros. Once the "focused" mob dies, the guys just follow my "main's" target. I have to hit my "set focus" macro regularly on some fights (with add phases) but if it is a tank and spank type of encounter I just hit it once to set the boss as the focus.

/clearfocus
/focus [target=party1target, exists, harm, nodead]

Priest heal macro:

I have six keys used for healing, one for each toon and then one for AOE healing. Five of the macros look like this one below, just sub in the correct name of the player. I use my F6 thru F11 keys to accomplish this and i have them in the order that they appear on my main window so at a glance I know which button to press.

Holding ALT gives a power word: shield; CTRl, a renew; Shift: a greater heal and holding nothing gives a flash heal. I got this macro from the WIKI here on this site, so I take no credit for creating it.

#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14
/target deathmark
/cast [modifier:lalt]Power Word: Shield; [modifier:ctrl]Renew; [modifier:lshift]Greater Heal; [modifier:ralt]Pain Suppression; [modifier:rshift]Fear Ward; Flash Heal

Priest AOE heal macro:
You want to target yourself in this as prayer of healing is a targetted spell and my "slaves" are always standing together. I have this weighted to more often than not cast circle of healing, but if I spam it, it will cast Circle of healing and then Prayer of healing.

#SHOWTOOLTIP
/tar player
/castrandom prayer of healing, circle of healing, circle of healing

Priest DPS Macro:
I use this when I raid and have the priest dps, he cranks out about 3k dps. It requires you to manually cast shadow word: pain (I have this keybound to the same key as avenger's shield so it casts on bosses)

/target [target=focus,nodead][target=party1target]
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target vampiric touch,mind blast,mind flay,mind flay,mind blast,mind flay,mind flay,,
/castrandom devouring plague, shadowfiend

The only other thing that I have is a button keybound to my "drop totems" key that casts prayer of mending on my tank. Very useful and is typically done on every pull.

Mage DPS Macro:

This one is taken from the forums here and crafted to my use slightly. Hold shift when missile barrage procs to cast arcane missiles. I use DOTtimer to monitor "notifications" of this buff and my moonkin's eclipse proc.

/target [target=focus,nodead][target=party1target]
/stopmacro [channeling]
/castrandom mirror image,presence of mind,arcane power,icy veins
/castsequence Arcane Blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane barrage
/castsequence [mod:shift] arcane missiles,

Moonkin DPS Macro:
My moonkin uses two DPS macros and it is because of the eclipse proc that I have to use two DPS buttons on everyone (I just have the same macro in both keybinds).

I start with this Macro until eclipse procs:

/stopmacro [channeling]
/target [target=focus,nodead][target=party1target]
/cast [nostance:5] Moonkin Form
/use 13
/use 14
/castrandom moonfire, wrath, wrath, wrath, wrath, wrath, insect swarm, wrath, wrath, wrath, wrath, wrath, wrath

Then use this one to cast Starfire until the buff runs out and switch back to the main one.

/stopmacro [channeling]
/target [target=focus,nodead][target=party1target]
/cast [nostance:5] Moonkin Form
/use 13
/use 14
/castrandom moonfire, starfire, starfire, starfire, starfire, starfire, insect swarm, starfire, starfire, starfire, starfire

I "main" play my paladin and he tanks with single spell keybinds (no macros for him) or in raid I use him as a healer. I found I can raid heal quite well using Healbot and the spells bound to my mouse buttons.

I'll add my elemental shaman macro here, but it is no different than any variety of the ones found in the elemental shaman DPS macro thread that is 15 pages long (currently)

/target [target=focus,nodead][target=party1target]
/cast Elemental Mastery
/use 13
/use 14
/cast [mod:shift] Chain Lightning
/castrandom flame shock, lava burst, lava burst, lava burst, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, purge

I would go combat on the rogue.
That way, you can do reasonable damage from the front or back.
The rear will still be better damage, due to less dodge/block/parry.
Then again 26 expertise (not rating) and you're immune to most of that.
And you can get 10 expertise (not rating) from talents alone.

For bosses a combat rogue will:
Sinister Strike 2-3 times... Slice and Dice.
Sinister Strike to 5 combo points... Rupture
Sinister Strike to 5 combo points and....
a) Slice and Dice if there's 11 or fewer seconds remaining
b) Eviscerate if there's 12 or more seconds remaining on SnD.

For a macro, not sure exactly.
Probably a cast sequence, reset=target/combat.
Sinister Strike x3, SnD, Sinister Strike x3, Rupture.
Something along those lines.

#show
/assist (assist method of choice)
/castsequence reset=combat/target Sinister Strike, Sinister Strike, Sinister Strike, Slice and Dice, Sinister Strike, Sinister Strike, Sinister Strike, Rupture

I've personally found Wound/Wound for PvE and Wound/Mind Numbing for PvP to be the best poisons.
Elitist Jerks recommends Wound/Deadly, for PvE, but personally that lowers my wws dps every time.

Be sure to use Adrenaline Rush, Killing Spree and Blade Flurry often.
AR and BF combine very nicely. KS and BF combine very nicely. AR and KS do not combine well.

Combat - Fan of Knives spec, might be worth considering at 80th.
It is extremely good at interrupting casting, and making life miserable for groups of casters.
It's lower dps then Combat or Mutilate spec though.

Close Quarters Combat (Daggers and Fist Weapons) is slightly higher dps then Swords.
Other weapons are quite a bit behind these two options.
Most consider a slow Fist weapon (primary) and a fast Dagger (off-hand) to be optimal.
