Im thinking of 5 boxing DKS here are my reasons.
5xblood healing should not be an issue. Looking @ a 40-50% heal every 30 sec seems pretty awesome.
I was going to box pallys but i really Dont want to go from 1-80
55-80 doesnt seem as aweful
I already have 1 lvl 80 maxxed out epic DK meaning i dont have to worry about one extra char
I do have a few questions and im sure i could find them using the search button but im super sick right now and its talking all my energy to type this.
so in advance thanks for appeasing me.
Whats the best way to do melees?
My level 80 should i make him player 5 so that my noobs can pick up the quests?
how viable is this? I did a few searchs based on DKs but it didnt turn up any results and im not really sure why.
Is it as funny as i think it is to have 5 dancing rune blades and 5 ghouls?
I know not being able to rez is going to be a huge pain in the ass and the lack of an actual healer might make me suffer. right? or will the 50% heal every 30 sec be just fine?
What kind of a pain in the ass is it going to be to level these guys?
Guys im bored to tears ive been playing the hell out of my 360 (vesperia)/ps3 (chronicls) and im starting to get bored with those.

I tried it with a Blood Spec...I got to Ramparts - first trash pull my main survived with 3% health. I read some good reviews on them but I realized that was from before one of the recent nerfs with stacking auras. Anyway - I may have messed something up - maybe the talent specs - who knows but I figured if this happens on trash with no ability to rezz - it would be painful. I added a druid to the team and so far it is a lot of fun.

yeah, you'll regret not having a dedicated healer with a setup like that. i mean, you already have an 80 DK on one account, so make that a druid or something. You'll obviously have to level it to 58 or so to keep up with the DKs, so might as well 5-box a bunch of new toons while you're at it.

I thought they nerfed the blood aura so it doesn't stack?

If you have any interest in heroics or raids, you'll want a dedicated healer.
5x DK's can be a very strong world pvp or battleground team.
Even still a healer of some sort can be a big boost.
I'd not consider leveling 1-55 or 1-80 without RAF ever again.
The DK's start at 55, which is nice, and will be 57/58 with 30g by the time they leave their starting area.
Any other toon, I'd go with RAF again.
RAF link a new account to your existing account.
If you're not playing Blood Elves/Draenei, it doesn't even need to be a battlechest, just classic wow.
Paying for a month on the RAF account, credits you with a month on the existing account.
So you're out the cost of the game, but gain RAF leveling.
Pick two toons which will compliment future compositions.
One will obviously be the healer for the DK's.
Decide on the class you'd like for that.
Pally will want caster plate, while DK's want melee plate.
Shammy has totems which can enhance the DK's.
Druids have a lot of HoT's which can be cast on the move.
Anyway, pick two toons.
One will be on the existing account.
One will be on the RAF account.
I'd not use the account with the 80 DK as the parent account.
This way, you have an 80 to boost you through instances.
With RAF and an 80 to boost you, it will be under a week delay for the healer to join the DK's.
As a bonus, you'll have a second toon, on one of the DK's accounts, to aid another team.
If you like, level say a Pally (DK account) and a Druid (RAF account) for two potential healers in the future.
Or whatever classes you'd like to go with.
Then just account transfer from RAF to one of the accounts you're keeping.

What Ualaa said, exactly.
Having just non-RAF dual-boxed to 60 my twins (took 5.5 days played /WRIST), I don't ever want to non-RAF level 1-55 or 1-80 again.
I plan to branch out to triple-boxing once I'm done boosting my horde toons, and will start by tri-boxing three toons on my "alternate universe" alliance realm. For that I need a temporary, throwaway 4th account so I can have all three toons RAF-linked for 1-60. I have no L80 booster on that realm, so have to level the old-fashioned way. Unfortunately the great tourguide plugin linked on this site for RAF leveling alliance includes the draenai island, which one of my accounts (the throwaway one) will not have access to! So I have to trailblaze on my own thru RAF questing, at least until level 23 where the guide returns to old azeroth.
Which brings me to ask an off-topic question. I will be rolling a human and two night elves for the trio. In terms of number of collection vs kill quests, which 1-10 and 10-20 racial zones are the best? The night elf ones or the human ones? (ie teldrassil+darkshore vs elwynn+westfall), or should I even head for Dun Morogh+Loch Modan?
Just in terms of class trainers I'm probably restricted to either the human or dwarf/gnome start areas, since my team will be mage+hunter+hunter. There are hunter trainers in stormwind and ironforge, but no mage trainers in darnassus IIRC. I'll just have to head back to Teldrassil to do the hunter pet quest at L10 on each hunter...

Ok I havent logged into my DKs since recent nerf, but I dont imagine they can do 5 in a dungeon anymore. I run 4 with a druid healer and all DKs are blood. With stacking auras it was awesome... with nerf I imagine it will be much harder. Also I have found I enjoy priest healers much more than druids lately.
Another thing, I realize that suggesting a healer will make the group automagically suck in pvp, but eh there it is. (everyone targets your healer first, so he always feels like the odd man out when he's dead and your DKs are all alive and getting honor)

[Update]
Last night I went home loaded up my accounts made my 4 dks (already had the 5th one @ 80 no use loggin him in) and I started my quest towards well whatever. Last night after playing for 5 hours I got to level 60 and this is my finding.
Playing 4 melee classes which I was really under the impression of being a nightmare was easy as can be. With follow strobing on and all my skills macroed I was ripping things a part in just a few hits. All 4 dks were blood with imp rune tap as well as the glyph. with this every 30 seconds I was getting a 90% heal when ever any of my team was a little down. I would roll up on groups of mobs and IT PS spread the plague and blood boil and just laugh as the xp would flow like wine. having all 4 ghouls out, combined with blood worms and dancing runeblade was literally the funniest thing ever! Nothing and I mean NOTHING stood a chance. To be honest the excitment scale was quite high then it would dip down while questing/grinding then it would shoot back up once I got a new skill.
Then last night something hit me.... What do I really want out of these guys? To be honest I really dont know.
Do I want epic single target dmg? Because my 5 shammys beat this hands down
Do I want to do heroics? I already have a team that can do this quite ez mode
Do I want someone that can AOE like a champ? Again 5 nova totems combined with 5 thundshocks is an AOE champ
Am I just totally bored with nothing to do? Possible but last night I played for 5 hours and didnt stop and to be honest I really dont want to put myself through another 20 levels of epic grind.
So my conclussion.
Do I think they can do dungeons? Yes I really do a 100% heal every 30 seems really good.
Do I think they can do Heroics? Not without a bunch of blood sweat and tears.
Do I think they would whip total ass in world/BG pvp? Oh hell ya I really dont think someone could take them out if your playing them right (again every 30 sec is a Lay on Hands for your entire team basically)
Do I think I will get them to 80? probably not the sole reason being that I dont want to invest the time. The time to level them. The time to Gear them, and the time to devote to them the time I really feel that they need.
So Im back at square one. Wondering what to do with my free time. Wondering what game I can play to pass the time after a long days work. Wanting to find something that will challenge me. My biggest hope is that Champions Online will be someone fun/decent, and boxable as this looks like a great game to me. I tried Aion and I have to so im not that impressed with it. I did the chineese beta thing and dispite the fact that I couldnt communicate with anyone I felt that the game was missing something especially once you get to level 30 and get tossed into the Abyss but thats an entirely different story.
So im looking at you boxers! What are you doing to pass the time? EQ2? WOW? COH/COV? I just dont know here are my views of those games
EQ2 I only leveled a Necro to 30 something and this was quite a while ago. The game was a ton of fun to play however the combat seemed pretty bland.
WoW We just went over that no need to repeat other then to say I have 6 level 80s and not a care in the world to actually play them =(
COH/COV looked like it would be super fun to play but apparently its a real pain in the ass to box and you can only box however many comps you have. (that being only 2 in my case) so im not thinking its really worth it. (side note how funny would it be to have 5 masterminds FF/Dark Miasma robots.) Then again you really wouldnt be playing @ all you would just summon your crap and walk through stuff.
Thank you to all my boxing friends I have to say this is probably one of the best / most mature forums I have ever been a part of and I continually check this place even with im not boxing. Thank you to the mods and the community that make this place what it is!
Thanks for reading.

(P.S) Tales is a freaking great game! I am enjoying the hell out of it but there seems to be some sort of disconnect for me when it comes to playing Console games I cant put my finger on it but im just like so blah about it.

Honestly, 5 DKs is fun, 5x Death grip on round robin is great when fighting ranged users, "Get over here!" lol. Putting 5 ghouls on aggressive and strolling around in enemy territory on PvP server is amusing for quite some time (whoops, did I just clear out Westfall? I wasn't really paying attention.) Clearing low level instances for achievements by walking through them until you put the ghouls on passive at last boss is fun. Leaving one slave on PvP in a PvE server so that level 80 can't resist attacking and gets wtfpwned by level 60's is priceless. Still, I wish I had a healer.
Please tell me how you get 90% heal on 30s timer, maybe it would help me out. Though usually if I'm gonna wipe, I can't wait 30s.

I'm playing mixed classes, because I like learning how each one works. I switch up my main every once in a while, so I can get a better feel for each class, and fine tune my macros.
My long term goals?
Not sure, either. I'm feeling burnout approaching, so I may take a break. I have a lot going on in RL anyway.
My goals were to get a team into Northrend instances and Heroics, and while that's still a goal, I'm not sure I need to go there yet.
I may shutdown all of the accounts but one, and have it to log in and do dailies and the Argent Tourney and such, or just goof around with BGs.
I'm not quitting in anger or disgust, I'm just not feeling the motivation right now to keep going, even though my team is working very smoothly and I have some pretty efficient macros going. (Priest, pally, rogue, and occasionally a mage for DPS).
I've felt this way before, it was when I'd quit teh game for a month or two. No big deal, just a break.
We'll see.
It doesn't help that I saw a video on Justin.tv of a guy playing Fallout 3, and I really want to give that game a try. :)

Fallout 1 and 2 were great games with poor graphics in an excellent setting. Fallout 3 is a poor game with excellent graphics in an excellent setting. I enjoyed it for the first 3 hours or so, and then kept thinking wtf is going on? I won't ruin it for anyone that hasn't played, but I will say it is probably the only "RPG" I ever played that I couldn't stand to play all the way through even a second time. Your "choices" made no real difference in the game world (ok, except for one, but even the most "evil" choice had no significant advantages or setbacks). The dialogue was dismal. I enjoyed Mass Effect and the KoTOR series so much more, even though I love Fallout's setting. /end hijacking

I'm enjoying my quad boxed DKs. I'm heavy Unholy with the rest in blood. The 30s heal is just awesome, and I really enjoy the ghouls. Army of the Dead X4 is a bit of a letdown... but oh well.
As far as why I'm doing it? Well.. it's a game. Honestly, if you've reached the point where you need a reason to be doing anything in wow then I'd say you're no longer viewing it as a game and should considering something else. Just because we've all sunk a bunch of money into WoW doesn't mean we should be more committed to it than our "fun" levels allow.
