First Heroic ever: Gundrak

Well it took my group of 3 shamans (about1000 sp no buffs) and my tankadin (18k buffed with kings and wild from a dru) and my resto dru (1800 sp buffed) about 30 try's to fail at this to finally kill the boss. slar'dar is rather easy now all you have to do is pull him into the room where the golems are and the adds are not to crazy and just tank and spank nothing special. the golem guy gave me trouble because i use to be scared of the purple stuff the 2nd/4th phase guy does but don't be, 2 healing stream totems and a chain heal here and there and your fine. basically tank and spank. 3rd guy is a joke no problem here. eck actually gave me some trouble took me about 6 times my first try to kill. but now i know the fight well and pop some earth totems or fire totems he is rather easy. the boss hmm, all i can say is OVER-Heal!!! i put my guys behind him to the left in a little corner where the door opens up when you kill him and stack them there. over heal and just blast away until he w/w and kite him. when the rhino comes out pop earth totems to help take some damage. don't worry about the shamans nor healer at this point and just blast and heal your tank. rinse and repeat, he should die before he gets to the rhino again. Sorry if i made a long speach some one else probably already said but like i said this is the first heroic i tried and after wasting about 800g in repairs i finally did it and now i can farm without whiping (if i do whipe its only 1-3 times maybe)

and when the guys get geared i am hoping to put my fourth shaman in there and use him instead of my dru.

I just completed Utgarde keep and it seems easier then the reg run for me for some reason. before at like lvl 74 i could not beat the last boss, but now i beat him... its weird but needless to say i defeated all the bosses here with only 3 wipes its getting better for me. the first boss is simple just get the boss around the corner by the stairs and spam CL as much as you can and its cake. also magma totems works well. 2nd boss is simple as well jsut get against the wall to the right of there view ( if you were in there position to the right) and just spam grounding totems and it makes the girl useless. and its cake, last boss just dps him down in the second fight faster then he can use the hammer. if he gets the hammer off i usually die, the hammer attacks my druid most of the time. but its the 4th heroic I've done, i got gundrak yesterday for the first time and did again today with less deaths and did keep tonight as well as gundrak go me... only crappy thing is i haven't gotten a useful purp yet :(

Paladin, Druid, 3 Shaman? I think Old Kingdom has your name on it as far as the one zone that can provide you with the most upgrades.

Thanks!!! I actually have done that instance almost everyday since, and then i have done Ut Keep aswell. they both are easy, sad thing is i couldnt even complete keep before i was 80 :/. now i try pinnacle and i get to the third boss (one who runs away and creates the 12+ guys that run out of that room) and i cant kill him. Ive tried both ways. Anyone have a good tactic for him? i cant even reach him.

Thank you all!! I have Gundrak cleared and UK cleared with no deaths yesterday. i tried DTK and killed first boss easy pie and then the second boss... oh man. the blizzard got me good so many times. i would move them out but i have a slow reaction i guess because i would get hit 3-4 times before i was out. then if she hated me enough she would be casting her frost bolt and i would usually be dead. As for the breath i can maneuver around the breathe in pinnacle if i do it the way your suppose to i just run out of mana. its when i cheat i get screwed by the breathe inside the room at the end (not cheat but end up passed the boss after a death or something of that nature). But i will look up more tactics on it though for my help. as well as the blizzard girl in DTK.

gratz! For "the blizzard girl" lol remember that your pally has a frost resist aura, the way I do this fight (and not always successfully) is to park the team against the wall closest to her and get the shammies to kill the adds as they appear as the shams can pretty well nuke them down. When the boss fight starts grab aggro with the pally and make sure to consecrate to pick up more adds, as she's blizzarding watch the health bars of the team and chain heal regularly and now for the trick: when she gets to 50% health pop your earth or fire eles, or maybe a combo of both it doesn't really matter, this will give your team time to heal and then dps her down -cake. Sometimes of course it doesn't work and if I feel a wipe coming on I run a shammy over to the exit so he can ankh after the wipe.

For pinnacle meh - sorry no tips, I can never get past the gauntlet as I run oom. I've watched various youtubes but to no avail - even hachoos one seems edited on this as I can never figure out how he manages to clear the gauntlet and still be at the start of gauntlet with the boss still in the air and there are no mobs there, he seems to just saunter up the alley lol - lay down some totems, have a cup of tea, read the paper and finally some mobs appear and he takes them all out and he had way lower health/mana in that video than I do now. Maybe the encounter has changed I don't know but it's just probably my lack of skills >.<

Well as for the KT look alike in DTK i beat her but had one or two of the shamans die. but the rest of the instance is easy. Although i cant really kill the dinosaur unless all his friends are dead first. Then in Pinnacle i was able to kill the third boss and the last boss is all but hard. i just basically tanked and spanked him with ease!!! With the third boss though i only beat him with the help of my brother playing. might be different now that i know its rather easy but he was the one that ran and grabbed the spears. Well felt like i should give an update. Take care.
