So with my twins @60 and waiting for 3.2 to grant them cheap epic mounts and basic fliers, I figure to interrupt the boredom of RAF boosting I'll work on some trades on the pally + priest.
The pally is going Inscription/Alchemy, target skill only 400, for the trinket and the shoulder enchant. The priest is going tailor/herbalist.
I figure the priest can level tailoring quite far with all the cloth I'll be getting from instance boosting, I'll just mail it all to her. She's also going to go out solo (ie single-boxing) and farm the BLEEP outta azeroth herbs, to (a) level her herbalism and (b) get enough herbs for the paladin to hit 290ish in both the paladin's professions. I figure I can get the priest to 340ish herbalism skill just in azeroth.
Anyways, the real question is, once 3.2 hits and I start leveling this duo again in outland, what's the best way to have a slave toon (the priest) loot herbs I come across? For one thing, it won't be even tracked on my main so I won't notice alot of herbs, but the ones I do notice I guess the best thing I can do is mouse broadcasting to have the priest herbalize it?
Or should I be wacky, wild, and crazy and switch to driving using the priest and have the paladin use two different spam macros, one for single-target tanking and another for AE tanking? Is that even feasible for a tank/healer combo, to drive using the healer and use "click-to-move" and interact with target on the tank to make them tank?

just a question.. kinda oftopic, but do u have any idea when 3.2 is gunna come out.. im kinda waiting around for it also.. (for pvp leaving from 75+)
as for the herbalism
you know on the map there is a find herbs button? just like for repairs and stuff also.. Use this to find the herbs, but im guessing that your problem is that ur main is a miner? or something and cant have them both up? if not use that function and find the herbs. or just go crazy with the priest in the front

I've got Inscription on my priest and so far it's not all its cracked up to be seeing as how almost everyone on my server has all the glyphs up on the AH at all times. Sure they are over priced, but for personal use, I hardly even make my own anymore. Most of the glyphs I use, I can't even make yet. So if you wanna go that route anyway, put the Inscription on your priest and Herbalism on your Pally since he's lead. Just keep up your Track Herbs on your minimap. You can also take on two tracking professions such as Mining and Herbalism. Just make a macro like I did for my Shammy that reads: /castsequence Track Minerals, Track Herbs. Put that macro on an easy access button, mine''s on E and tap it as you're runnin around. Be mindful tho, it does register as a Global Cooldown, so be sure you don't hit this in the middle of battle or when you need to use a spell. I've got this on my lead shammy, skinning/LW on one slave, JC on another slave, and so far nothing on the last. Haven't decided if he'll have any crafting proffs yet. Another idea, if you have your two on one monitor and have them both maximized, one on left, one on right, you can grab the SexyMap addon from Curse.com and use that to relocate your mini map on your screen and even increase the size of it. It should also make the dots (Herbs/veins) bigger as well, but this doesn't always work. Seems after each patch, the coding in this is screwed with or something. I had it working somehow on my slaves, on my hunter team, to be able to track multiple enemies, and herbs/veins, while my leader had two crafting professions. Try it out and let us know how it works out. A few screenshots come in handy for show too.

The primary reason the pally is going Inscription is for the soon-to-be-OP shoulder enchants. Being able to sell some glyphs for coin afterwards is just a bit of icing on the cake. Alchemy is for the trinket. I'd do Inscription/Jewelcrafting (two of best tank trades) but I already have a JC on the realm and can't stomach the cost of leveling another one.

I wouldn't say shoulder enchants are soon to be OP.
As it stands right now, comparing the bonus you get from not having a skill.
Versus the bonus you get from that skill...
Jewelcrafting gives the largest bonus, followed by blacksmithing.
Inscription shoulders vs hodir shoulders is ahead of enchanting rings vs no enchant.
In 3.2, with the introduction of epic gems, the dragon's eye gems are getting a boost.
Basically, they'll be as far over the other epic gems as say inscription shoulders will be over hodir enchants.
Jewelcrafting is still losing the prismatic quality on dragon's eye gems, they'll be one color each.
Sure, inscription shoulders are getting a substantial boost...
But, the difference between inscription and hodir will be the same as...
- Enchanting rings over non-enchanted rings.
- Dragon's Eye gems over epic gems.
- Inscription shoulders over Hodir shoulders.
- Blacksmith extra two sockets with epic gems over not having those two sockets.
Blizz is doing their best to balance each of the trade skill bonuses.
That's a big point in the 3.2 patch.
Inscription shoulders won't be OP in relation to any other trade skill.
Sure, they'll be stronger then they are now.
But then every trade skill will be stronger too.
Leatherworking bracer enchants over enchanter bracer enchants will gain just as much.
I'm sure they cannot balance everything perfectly.
Each class will get a slightly different boost in effectiveness, from the same enchant.
There will be some that are slightly better then others.
Blizz is attempting to make the choice from one to another, to be a minimal gain, unlike now.
I went with Inscription shoulders... because...
- as of now, they're the 3rd or 4th best bonus, so its not a bad choice.
- it was a lot faster/easier then grinding Hodir to exalted.
