So i finally got my stuff setup, ( pip )
Now i was making a /invite icébox macro,
but i seem to not be able to get a ' on a e while i'm on wow + keyclone,
any tips?

When i chat, how can i make sure my other char does nothing at all? or atleast while i have /w or /s open he just waits,

atm i have wasd + q e r esc and enter on "do not pass"

this will ofc not do anything for the points where i'm chatting.

For me it solves him losing follow, and atleast not answering pms aswell, but it will still make him use all the other alfabet buttons.

I will be adding more questions seeing as i'm exploring the program atm.

sidenote : i just got my pip set-up so i'm kinda new.

hmph. i'm not sure how you would type that character normally... but i would generally create a macro once to invite all my alts from my main. you should be able to type that character in to a single wow.

as for typing only on one wow... use the override hot, which is PAUSE by default. (PAUSE == the PAUSE/BREAK key usually found next to print screen and scroll lock in the upper right of the keyboard). you can set the hotkey to whatever you'd like by going to keyclone/setup/override-settings.

if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

:D

Dutch language settings allow you to press key combination 'e (in sequence) and it will merge those two key presses into the é character (the same applies to è ë é ì ï í á ó ú etc). When you broadcast é through keyclone, the clones will display
e
'e
''e

thanks all, and yes, exactly, ( i'm dutch ),

so when i use '' ' in keyclone it not goes to é but 'e which can be annoying,

but i've solved it by making an invite macro before i logged into keyclone,

i'm gonna test the pause key today, thanks for the tips.

''ehmph. are you saying that your wows are showing these characters and not the special character? are you hitting 'e' and '"' to produce it? if so, it sounds like the low level keyboard driver is recognizing the 2 button press and is emitting the 3rd key. does that sound about right?

(not that i can change anything at that level, just trying to understand what's happening)

I'm not sure honestly, but I think the issue is with keyclone cloning the presses of the keys (which isn't a keyclone problem, that's what it's supposed to do), so when you do a combination like that, you actually get ''e or something rather than 'e .

I have a similar issue trying to use alt + numpad for symbols if I have keyclone open. I'm sure that it's registering it as alt + 113333 instead of alt + 133 . I'm sure you could put those numpad keys for the English keyboard layouts on the donotpass list, but I haven't tried it yet.

Just remove the programs from the list on Keyclone if you need to type special characters, then re-add it. it's not that big of a deal, really.

actually the solution is simple, and keyclone said so above "pause break" button..

and everything works again as normal + doesnt copy to the other accounts.

tadah! but i just needed it so i could setup macro's while i had keyclone active, seeing as my chars are "icèbox and icébox on daggerspine atm".

And i think we all know its a pain shutting keyclone down everytime u wanna make a macro, but again its solved :).

nice to know about the pause workaround, I was using the jamba invite to get around the problem.

All Windows systems to my knowledge come with an application called Character Map

You can see all the characters supported by a font in it and cut/paste from it... For instance when I am making a set of names for my characters... say Sychosys.. I will generally have 2-3 characters with some sort of accent or grave or what not over/around them just to ensure I can use the names and then vary them by one of the characters.. For example I make the string Sýchòóôõösÿs in Character map, activate the main WoW screen and paste that in so each person has that name, then just delete all but one of the O's to get the name variance.

Dunno if this helps, but it made things a bit easier for me.
