Ok I'm bored here at work and no one is posting on DB.com so... I'm looking for obscure, yet active, forums that talk about WoW. Tanking, healing, whatever. I'm trying to find forums (and websites) that work hasn't blocked yet. Currently this is the only one I have found ;(

My daily/hourly checks are:
worldofraids.com (love Blue tracker and recently have info almost same time or before the next one......)
mmochampion.com (love new info---almost seems like it is first to know stuff)
wowinsider.com (I refuse their new name wow.com, should be copyrighted, but has nice talking about stuff that happens, and is my replacement for WOW front page)
maniasarcania.com (I use for hunter info, but hasn't been much recently. Also, bigredkitty.net went away and he has pretty good talk and videos about hunters)
hotkeynet.com (I check there to help out people and to test new features)
wowhead.com (I like to check for items that I want and how to get them and read the comments to see if other people know more than me....Get item #43343 instead, it has the same stats but is easier to get. Do this quest with quest #ABDFGY, it goes with the same mobs. Etc.)
And general forums (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=10001&sid=1) I don't do much with them, I try to comment every 2 weeks or so, but mostly just read the good posts, as soon as I get to a troll post, I stop reading and move to a new thread.

Just my 2 copper.

You could troll the Blizzard forums. Sometimes its just really hard to stop laughing people....

Ah see most of the sites you guys listed are blocked at work. We have a service that blocks for us, so only the not-so-known stuff isn't blocked yet. Although they would just have to monitor me to see what they needed to block, lol.

edit: so ya I was only able to load up hotkeynet. I have a theory that when someone makes their website they improve visibility for searches (google, etc) if they add "games" to the category of the website. This seems to be auto blocked at work. That or they paid some idiots to search the web and find more stuff to block.

Are you allowed to install any programs on your pc at work? or is it policy limited also? If not, then there are lots of was to get around the filters to see the full internets.

If you're having problems at work opening sites and stuff just use a HTTP proxy. You just go to a website and tell it to open the site you want.

I could post a few but I'm not sure if that's appreciated ;p

But if you look for proxy sites you can easily find some... a lot of firewalls block online proxy's but there's always a few that are new and unblocked, especially if you use foreign ones.

Personally I like http://www.tankingtips.com for prot warrior tips and discussions.

Ruodhaid,

That class list is awesome. Thank you tons. I surf the Warlocks Den as I love the class and had always looked for something similar for other classes. I am hoping these others are as well put together. I know shadowpriest.com is a great one also.

Just keep in mind that if you go around the webfiltering you could loose your job. In this economy is it really worth all that?
