View Full Version : Is this possible? (multiple assists)

/target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=Siaea][mod:alt,mod:shift,nomod:ctrl,target=Seaie][mod:ctrl,mod:alt,mod:shift,target=Sieae][mod:ctrl,nomod:alt,nomod:shift,target=Saiea]
/cast [target=targettarget, harm] Chain Lightning
/targetlasttarget
I'm leveling my original shaman before I rolled a DK for a tank. Currently I'm using the FTL system. I changed all my macros (above example) back to follow my original shaman (Siaea) from my tank (Clotte). Is it possible to do something like
/target blah blah [target=Siaea,Clotte]
so I don't have to change all my macros when I switch between Clotte and Siaea?

You can do multiple options if you want, just like you saw in the example.
/cast [target=CharName-target, exists][target=CharName2-target, exists] DPSSpell

Hmm, I wonder how that could be integrated into the focusless-leaderless setup like I'm using. I'm pretty decent at writing macros, but most of the FTL setup I used is copy/paste.

My guessing is you use Siaea and Clotte and want to interchange them? Just put in a condition for both of them
Currently:
/target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=Siaea].......(put in rest of line)
Just put in:
/target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=Siaea][mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=Clotte]........(put in rest of line)
I hope that is what you mean. Just put in the same condition for both of them, and depending on who is on, it picks that person.

I'll try that. Only thing I'd worry about there is if it goes over the 250 characters or whatever it is. Unfortunately, I gotta hop in the shower and go to work, so I gotta wait till tonite :(
Thanks for the ideas!

I've debated posting a thread on this, but this is a relevant place to discuss it.
I have the 4 shammy team, and one day I'll have to pay attention to CC with them.
I'm tinkering with a round robin assist macro so I can tab through the mobs with my leader and have each individual shammy choose that target for Hex.
So multiple hexes on the pull on separate targets, then assist leader and blast away.
Anyone done something like that?

Anyone done something like that?To be perfectly honest with you, Hex is virtually worthless since the range is so short, in my opinion. I do, however, have keybinds set up for my shaman to hex. I use 3 of my G keys on my G11 keyboard for that, and just kept it simple.
G1, Shaman #2 hexes main's target, G2, Shaman #3 hexes main target, G3, Shaman 4 hexes main target. So I can tab target, hit a G key, and if I want more than 1 hex, target and hit the next G key. I've only used it to frog lowbies when I'm out questing however.
/assist Clotte
/cast Hex

Anyone done something like that? Thats how I handle CC on my shaman / warlocks / mages. I've tried both separate assist/focus keys for each toon as well as the round-robin approach and I found the round-robin to be a bit less clunky for instance grinding. I didn't find it fast enough to be useful in PvP in most cases.

What if you made your alts hex your mains target one at a time, and then had your key on your main, switch to a new target. So you can push G1 and your main tabs(however you want to switch targets) and your alt hexes. Push it again and it does it again. Seems simple and no worries about using focus or keeping which targets on which alts. Just mash and go.

Should be able to save who the leader is to a storage spot then call it later with /script stuffs.

method 5 sounds a bit like what you're after with the targeting cc
