Creating accounts :P

So I received my four battlechests in the mail today. Anxiously ran to the computer and starting my business. Created one account flawlessly, and the second one gave an error. Called up billing and support, got through quickly and then unluckily the account didn't work when they created it on the other end. So I called back, and one key was fail (the RAF one) :P

and then... SUCCESS! Two accounts created, two to go. Haha, the go on the other end of the phone is probably a little frustrated (still on the phone as I type).

Anyone else have any great stories about the wonderful setbacks the account creation system has bestowed upon us?


EDIT: The second account is giving him an error now. I wonder if I'll get my accounts up and running by tonight, haha. His computer froze :rolleyes:

Ah I see you didnt follow the golden rule of not creating all RAF accounts from one ip address. They start giving errors when you do your 4th account I believe. Next time do three at home and then go to a free wifi place to do your last two RAF setups.

Heh, well I had created a few beforehand to test them out before my main boxes arrived, and turns out that was a bad idea ;).

Would a different computer work? How can I change my IP address from my home?

mine worked fine but i did one one day and the other 3 the next. where i had problems was the initial payment....

Never had problems with account creation, over the history of my wow gaming I've created six accounts (although all spread out)

I'm only going to be creating one new account soon, when I RAF in my 3rd account to instance boost some toons, so not expecting issues there. In terms of payment, I plan to have each account bill 10 days apart or as close to that as I can get. I already have my first two accounts billing 12 days apart, so it won't be hard to get the other one spaced out too.

Then after the boosting of four toons, I will be RAFing in a 4th account (since my 1st -> 2nd accounts have no RAF link right now) so I can 3x box some toons up on an alternate server. Again, only will be creating one account at that time, and that fourth account will never have a subscription or any time input into it - I plan to have the 3x team hit 60 (thus consuming the RAF 3x XP bonus) within the 40 free days, and then I will transfer account4's toon onto account1 and let account4 go dormant with no toons on it.

It's a time limit thing. If you try to do all 5 RAF in a short period it will stop you. I wasnt sure how long you had to wait, but I was not willing to wait so I just did the other 2 at a free wifi place the same day.

Unless you're paying for a static IP address (or your ISP gives you one), all you should have to do is unplug your DSL/cable modem and plug it back in. A new external IP address should be populated.
