Anybody want to test a new KM program? (KM programs do what Synergy and Kavoom do.)
It's called HotkeyNet 2 but it's a completely different program from the old HotkeyNet.
It's self-installing and extremely easy to use.

If I can find the time I will test it : ). Really interested in an easy to use product. Last time I used a KM software solution it was Synergy for being cross platform and it my first tool used for multiboxing.

Hi! I did some testing and here is some feedback.
Display setup ('http://tupu.legioprofennia.net/hkn2setup.jpg') on HKN2 software. And here is what it looks like on real-life ('http://tupu.legioprofennia.net/hkn2mouseover.jpg'). Setup was "too easy" after Synergy. Actually I was looking for somekind of setup window for connections... and then I noticed that clientbox was already connected. Then just open displaysetup and move screens the way you want them. Mouse goes nicely from "downstairs" to "upstairs". Works fine so far

Thanks for the feedback! Did you waste a lot of time trying to set up connections? You're the second person who has told me this. Maybe the fact that it's automatic should be made more obvious.
With the first HotkeyNet, people often said it was too hard, so with the second program I'm trying to make it as easy as possible.

looks promising,
suggestion: when you open the mousover settings first; make the local computer's screen be the one on the top (my 2 laptops are named similarly and I didn't know which one was which and I think it was actually the remote one which was on top)
you should probably put in the online text that the screen need to touch to connect (like you did on the web page)

oh, minor stuff too: show ip dialog is annoying; find a way to make it take effect immediately instead :-) [or get rid of the option until you do]

Thanks for the suggestions. Those three changes have been made in build 58.
By the way, HKN2 isn't going to call home.

I had a bad interaction with hkn I think - I did a mouse broadcast to click on a portal and it "hung" with the mouse on the other computer and the keyboard focus stuck on the other computer - only ctrl-alt-delete was going to the main computer but as soon as exiting for instance to task manager the mouse was stuck again (pointer not moving on the main computer)
it eventually died and there is 43k dump I can't attach (because the limit is 20kb) if you want
ps: great to hear on the no phone home !

If you can't email the dump to me can you give me instructions for duplicating the problem? (Hopefully simple instructions because I don't play WoW and only have level 1 characters in WoW.)
