Yeah I cant wait to see hangover. Step brothers kicked total ass. I cant believe I waited until it came out on dvd to see that one. The more I watch Tropic Thunder on cable the more I like it too. Robert Downey was awesome in that movie. Never go full retard. Did you touch my drum set?

The Hangover is a must see. The whole theater was LOL during the entire film.
The g/f and I saw Year One yesterday afternoon. It had some funny bits but overall it was a major disapointment since normally Jack Black and Michael Cera are hilarious.

I liked transformers a lot, but I gotta be honest... the ending was rather weak considering the budget and open story canvas they had to work with.
The nonstop action scene leading up to the climax took over an hour... and then the finale took about 2 seconds. Another example of huge budget being blown on effects, effects, effects... and oh crap... where did the story go? There were a few parts that were completely awesome, but overall I found it much more cheesy and mindless than its predecessor.
I hate when movie budgets get too big. And I'm also very critical.

I thought the end was good. Contrary to your point I think the quick ass kicking prime gave megatron and the fallen was a great change from the norm. In so many other movies the final battles are usually extended so long they become boring to me. I love dragon ball z but a long battle like that would have been out of place in the movie.

A guildie of mine said they probably could have been just as successful with the movie if the whole thing was Megan Fox straddling the motorcycle, with some transformers fighting in the background. Seriously, I wonder how many people went to see the movie just from that one bit of the trailer lol.
I saw it this weekend and thought it was pretty good, but agree on several of the points here. Lots of action, and then the whole thing just ended instantly at the end.

This is where Transformers 2 epically fails IMO.
Spoiler:
Per the movie:
The Fallen (a "prime") can only be killed by a "prime", thus implying that only a prime can kill a prime.
Megatron "kill"s Optimus Prime - (Megatron is not a Prime - at least we're lead to believe he's not, as he reports to a "Prime" ("the fallen")
WTF! lol
(its basically a logic loophole)
Fur click
Spoiler:
You can make the argument that The Fallen knew that his life would be ended by a prime. This would not imply he could only be killed by a prime. If that is the case, which I believe it is, it would explain why he remained hidden until he knew the last prime left was dead. Once he thought the only prime left was dead he figured the future was changed. To his surprise optimus was raised from the dead and filled the prophecy. If you recall when Sam was near death, the other primes talked to him and spoke of the events. That's my take on the matter. I have to see it again to remember exactly what the primes told Sam but from what I remember they knew the day would come. Thus, proving to me they had some idea of future events and how they might unfold.

Movie was Ok. Kind of makes me wish they someone would develop a mecha game with fluid robots instead of the blocky stuff we've seen wince, well, the inception of mecha. That said, movie was ok if you were looking for a Michael Bay flick. Trying to think any deeper on it doesn't go anywhere though. My sole disapointment is that Megan Fox didn't ride Arcee.
