Help on Glyphs and Spec and Macros

Hi,

Just got back to playing again and running with 1 pal, 3 elem sham and 1 resto sham.

Best shaman hits 1700ish dps, which I think is low for the gear - Can you please comment on spec - and what glyphs I should be adding:

You can remove thatone, since you spelled it wrong there. You can also do 4 elemental shamans and 1 protection paladin, since thats easyer then 1 resto. When i do heroics and pick up a random tank (dont have a tank leveled by my side unfortunately) i just lesser healing wave x 4 and hes up again.

Im not going to tell you how to glyph and spec since im pvp specced.

An alternative I've used, rather than reading ElitistJerks website and experimenting myself, is just visit Ensidia and look up their shaman for spec and glyphs.

Interesting looking at their enh. spec. changes (yay, for 3.2 stam fix) going into ulduar, that is, spec'ing more damage mitigation because of poor aoe survival.

its low because of your spec and lack of glyphs, Im sure You have dps macro already fixed.
You can safely use this spec on all shamans:

Just take points fro ancestral knowledge or thundering strikes to get imp GoA/GT.
As for the glyphs, use same major glyphs that are on the shaman in my link on one of Your shamans, for rest replace glyph of ToW with Glyph of Lava, make just one shaman drop ToW rest drop searing.


err from what I saw here, you are probably using wrong macro to dps, here is the one that community came up with, and it was proven to be highest dps so far.

Now Youre shamans are undergeared compared to mine, but with this macro, on a boss level mob, Gothik, on burn phase i had 2 shamans above 6k dps, and one above 5. It works.

Tuffgrin (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Chamber+of+Aspects&n=Tuffgrin) reaches 2,2- 2,3 dps on the Grandmaster's Training Dummy; No buffs, no totems - Is that about right for that gear level?

Glyph of Flame Shock

Even if you go with different Fire Totems on the pull, ie Totem of Wrath does not stack, you'd like each shammy to drop a Totem of Wrath every 5 mins for the buff.
Only one shammy needs to actually leave Totem of Wrath as part of their Totem Farm macro.

Castsequences generally reduce your dps in comparison to actually casting spells manually as you need them.
The exception being things like Elemental Mastery - Flame Shock - Lava Burst in quick succession.

I've put Lightning Bolt (1), Lava Burst (2), Flame Shock (3) and Chain Lighting (4) on keybinds.
My Paladin has her tanking macro on each keybind, so no matter which dps option I'm using, she's also tanking on a dps press.



Going 3x Elemental and 1x Resto or 4x Elemental is a preference choice.
The 4x Elemental can handle a lot of stuff, more so as they gear up.
The Resto lets you constantly dps with 3, while healing on 1.
It also lets you do heroics or harder content sooner, ie while less geared overall.

Your specs are still wrong, no booming echoes for starts. Are You trying to do pve or pvp spec? anything that tries to combine both, pretty much fails at them both.
