You know I can't count the number of times some loan guy runs up and attacks my 80 dk and 4 level 76 shammies. I always wandered why they do it. They only end up dead. Some 80 warlock attacked me 6 times today and died everytime and never even killed one of my guys.

That being said does anyone here try staggering a PVP macro rotating earthshocks and groudning totems or do you guys just do straight DPS?

i don't know maybe they are having fun (/gasp) and see if they can kill one of yours? it's by trying that you learn.
would you prefer no one ever attacked you? Ever tried to solo a much stronger boss ?

Same reason a rogue goes for the prot warrior instead of the priest healing him?

Apparently taunt works on some players, which brings us to the disturbing question of how many people IRL are NPCs?

I think a lot of people assume we're bots - and assume that a botting program will be crap at PvP, therefore 5 easy HK's.

Cheers,
S.

I agree with u or think they do not think there is not 5 of me. Maybe they see the alts and assume there is only two toons there, the main and the alt. But still I am often suprised when someone at my levels or below attacks me. I have even wanted to make an alt on the oppisite faction to ask them .. what where you thinking ??? But my all time favorite is one someone who is ?? to me attacks me and I pawn them. That is always serously awesome

Well, if you were being taken over by the government piecemeal, you'd feel pretty fatalistic, too.

Oh wait...you meant "lone" guys.

1) Whenever Alliance bumps into Horde or Horde into Alliance on a PvP server its pretty common for one of them to start and attack on another just for the sake of it. I remember walking some time ago with a Pally through Ashenvale and saw a Troll Hunter 27 or so ( I was 31) I didnt even targeted him and just walked by but got shot anyway... Divine Protection, ignore pet, Judgment of Life , Seal of Command. He tried to kite me but instead of turn around and run he walked back and spammed con shot when I was next to him xD. He droped dead and I just moved on

2) as stated above, less then 50% of WoW Players read forums properly and post whenever they need to QQ. "Multibox = cheating" likes to walk in pair with this

3) Hero-syndrome when one things he can take on everything

4) SImple Envy

5) Plain stupidity

6) Lack of imagination

You seem to imply that a lone toon attacking a boxer is either jealous or stupid...
It's like saying you shouldnt attack someone much higher level than you because the odds aren't good. but damn, if you get that little tiny chance at it and succeed to kick his arse, even partially. That feels DAMN GOOD.

People like to have fun. They like to feel good. They try.
killing that 70 warrior as a level 57 mage is one of my fondest memories (granted, the fight took place in water, so he couldnt move much lol)
killing a level 38 melee NPC on my level 32 rogue was priceless.
soloing Onyxia felt real good.
If i saw a boxer in my level range, i'll probably give it a go. There are so many people that have no clue of the game, who knows, i might win :-)

An 80 hunter decided to pick on my 5x71 shamans yesterday and four deaths later he still hadn't learned his lesson. Some people seem to be terminally stupid.

I'll give you the same answer as above.
They saw you, thought they'd give it a shot.
Are people wiping repeatedly in hard mode instances all terminaly stupid?

Im sure satisfaction is something with has same value for some people, but for me something I cant touch or use towards my advantage has no value at all. Anyway there is a diffrence between being lucky and trying to swallow a whole melon in one chomp. Thats just IMO, dont take it personally.

Just imagine, though, if they throw themselves against you time after time and eventually get lucky and take some/all of you down (I said you'd need to imagine this!)... when they retell the tale of how they took on a cheating multiboxer and beat them they might just skip the "wiped for an hour first" part of the story :)

It's still funny when they do it, I got my new team their first HK yesterday they are level 25 or so and the idiot dk was about 78-79 and thought he was smart trying to gank me as i was resetting SM. Unfortunately for him my pally is very geared and I tore him up in about 5 seconds lol.

When did WoW stop being a PvP game?

Did the "WAR" in "Warcraft" change meanings?

;)Meh...tbh even on pvp servers I don't know that World of Warcraft has ever been much of a war. I think it's more like World of Skrimishcraft.

Nah if anything its world of gank you while your afk or fighting many mobs lol.

Zub

more like world of dailycraft honestly.
And these days it's even more World or Travel-to-bloody-4-ends-of-the-world-again-craft.

I like DKs that think deathgripping my druid away from my team is somehow going to save them from being deathgripped / chains of ice by my DK to only get their face melted.

Gank you while you are fighting mobs best describes it or ... let me gank you because i am 30 levels higher than you.

well at least you defended yourself well.

can you imaging the bragging rights the warlock would have had if he had been able to kill just one of your team.

I was out doing the pvp dialies in grizly hills and a 80 warrior from a guild wich been around since day 1 and is known for ganking pretty much anything they get over. They are not assholes or anything they simply always had it in theyr blood! :)

Well he was suprised when he was dead in under a global cooldown, the 2nd time he jumped down and dropped a aoe fear but just to see me trinket it 1 second later and blowing him up again. The last time he went in and trinketed+bladestorm, after he was done with that and a worldwind my shamans were still standing there with 85% hp.

I mean even if your well geared, do you expect to aoe down someone with 15k armor,22k hp and 850 resillience?

When I was leveling my rogues, I was pretty much a sitting duck. I'd get stunned / sapped / feared / sheeped on one, and then I'd get slaughtered one at a time.

Leveling my locks, it's been a lot better. I can fear multiple people at once, lots of DoTs add up, and I got my pets too. When I was 24 on them, a 30 druid tried ganking me. He was slaughtered time and time again. Usually if I pass an Alliance, they don't bother, but if I start attacking them, most of them have just sat down and taken it in the ass.

I can't wait to have more accounts to play with, I can imagine the pain that you can inflict w/ 5 toons.
