View Full Version : best way to make sure slaves have quests?

I am currently using Jamba on all my toons, and questhelper on my main only (due to memory size).

However, sometimes for whatever reason a slave fails to pick up a quest, or fails to get credit for completion of a particular step (range, lag, whatever). And it is difficult to notice until it's much later and I have to go back. Right now, I have Jamba set to mirror main selections, and auto-accept all quests.

What are people doing/using to help make sure your slaves are picking up and completing quests?

Any suggestions on the best way to handle auto-accepting quests and escort quests (through Jamba settings or other ways) as well as keeping count of how many of a collection quest (when you just can't avoid them) each toon has done would be appreciated!

Ive found you can only rely on your quest log T-T

But it does tell you how many people in your group have it, so if there isn't a (4) next to the quest, you know something is up.

as well as keeping count of how many of a collection quest (when you just can't avoid them) each toon has done would be appreciated! If memory serves right I do recall that whenever I had a party with someone and was at collectign quest I do recall that I saw how many items I have collected and how much other players did with simply doing a mouse over a corpse from with the quest item drop. I think QH had this option if the other person also had it.

I use BackSeatQuester and love it. It shows what quests the alts have, and how much they have done (5/8). It does a nice green DONE when they are done, so it is easy to see when everyone is done. It hasn't been updated in a while, but it is small and works. Hope that helps and good luck.

Yes Jamba has some issues with questing, for sure. I noticed that on escort quests if I open the quest pane on all slaves and then have Jamba auto accept, ONLY the person who is leader gets credit for it when it's done. However, I found out if I dont open the quest window on the slaves it will work. I recently had 2 slaves miss out on a quest because Jamba said they accepted it and it wasnt until I finished it and ran my ass all the way back that I saw that, no, they didnt accept the quest. Very frustrating.

That isn't Jamba, that is WOW. You can't take a escort quest on your alts, or they don't get credit. You just get it on your main. Just watch for the word escort, that is the key. Or if you remember more, an event works the same way (fight waves of mobs, etc). Not much you can do about it, other than remember which ones to not accept on your alts, just your main. With Jamba/Multiboxer/macro, you can just get on your main and then accept it on your alts.
