Would like to know if anyone is multiboxing Aion with any success. The macro system is there but seems poorly described so I am having a hard time with macros. Also Keyclone is not working for Aion so I would like to know what is working for other people.

biggest issue i had was that when I would focus mouse over different window, rest of the windows would throttle down to 2 fps, was able to do most of the simple commands, but I couldn't get assist to work.

You can google for a way to bypass gameguard, then you can use programs like keyclone.

In Aion is you don't get any exp bonus for being in a party, so that really slows down the leveling.

Xp is an even split for parties so reduction of downtime and need for heals can speed things up pretty nice. As well as killing the group mobs which can really make the xp fly. At the very least I would like to dualbox Glad/Cleric I think when retail starts.

Bleh, stupid gameguard lol.

I have heard rumors that Gameguard wil be given the flick shortly - AFAIK NC Soft has only put up with Gameguard for so long because they signed up for a lengthy contract, and theres a big fee for them if they break that contract prematurely.

I wouldent be circumventing gameguard yet if i was you... Sit back and wait a little.

If NCSoft is serious about making this game a success they will keep their word of their 0 tolerance policy. Since they wont employ a proper GM team to remove botters they will most likely rely on gameguard.

Bot programs dont even open Aion, so gameguard isng launched. But the Aion server will periodicly send packets to your client asking for a yes/no reply if gameguard is open/running or not.

NCSoft may be lazy and just continualy banhammer people who continualy give the "No" reply to that question.

I have heard there is a program that specificly responds to that query with a yes tho.

And if you have to disable gameguard to multibox, people people ask how you are multiboxing i'd tell them i was using a KMV for safety.

Lets not talk about circumventing security measures that companies put in place for anti-cheat methods. We need to remember that we rely on ToS / EULA agreements to justify our ability to multibox.

Exactly, im only interested in legitimate methods that people have found to multibox Aion. I'm guessing the client is not receiving input unless its the forground application so I will try multiple machine instead of single machine multiboxing when the next beta starts on the 2nd of july.

Well, multibox is pretty common in Lineage 2, so NCSoft and most players that migrated from there are used to the concept.

As far as "legit" way goes, most people just do the old window mode/alt-tab stuff. Or you could always go for the hardware method.

Gameguard is just too annoying to have it on, it causes all sort of unwanted crash and BSOD. But yeah, if you wanted to play it safe (TOS/EULA) better to just leave it on.

I posted back a while that if AION was using Game guard the best way is to go completely Hardware Base using Vetra KVM products Gameguard is design to block software base API keyboard inputs and other key presses that are not generated inside the game client. The problem is software like keyclone hotkeynet  (great products by the way) are block and they have nothing to do with botting or messing with the client in a bad way. I agree also to be safe go hardware .

Is it up? I'm in europe but I think we run the same version. I still get "this account does currently have no access to aion".

I also see that forums are down.

Please let me know if someone is "in".

Do you have a preorder account or a fileplanet account. The fileplanet accounts were only good for that one weekend they were given out i think.

The NA servers come up in about 3.5 hours.

Spent the whole weekend dual boxing (software). Of course i had to do the old alt-tab-macro-alt-tab back. Works well, and the macro detail is great. Only problem is that they don't have a target of target command working yet. (used their /assist action button).

Did anyone have any luck with a key duplicator? Would make life so much more easy.

Keyclone works but not with Gameguard running, I gave up for now on the game since I was playing the chinese servers instead of u.s. beta, and a lot of the macro's don't transfer over properly with the translation.

Multiboxing is also a bit clunky, WoW is smoother on that front, the pretty graphics do help subside this issue for a bit though. With 3.2 out looks like I might be back to WoW. Tried multiboxing Lotro last night, it's doable but not effective either.

Have you tried to use Input Director with it?

Yes both Synergy / Input Director cause Aion to close out after a few minutes even with Gameguard disabled. It states there is an illegal program running and to close it out.

It sucks it flags pretty much anything.

Damn, guess I won't be playing Aion then. I wanted to at least dual-box it :(

Thanks for the information.

Just came accross this thread after much frustrating trying to get Input Director/Synergy to work. My problem is the mouse and keyboard on the 2nd machine completely stop responding while Aion is running. Definitely frustrating.

see http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=24258 more recent open beta/release thread/info (though there isn't much more help so far; it seems not sw boxable)
