Macro and Key bindings

I have a question on setting up key bindings and macro usage.

In the WoW interface under Key Bindings, should you go ahead a use "character specific key bindings" for each character? ....and
under the macro section, would most macro's that your going to use via boxing be placed under that specific character's name
and not under the "general macros" section?


This site has been invaluable in terms of finding what's needed to get a start in the mutli-boxing scene.

I actually use SDM (SuperDuperMacro). Many of the macros that you'll be using will be a mixture of shared between characters and character specific. This add on allows you to essentially write the macro in one place (and pick the icon) and send it to your other toons. Saved me a bunch of time.

If you don't want to use add-ons, then putting your generic ones in the shared location and using the character specific slots for your specific character will allow you to have more macros.

Yeah, I haven't seen a add-on that doesn't work cross plat.

But I use a Mac, so I know it works there. :)
