Pause Bug (Keyclone)

Anyone else have problems with pausing keyclone? I find it to be very buggy.
EVen worse when you have been playing for x amount of time.

Ive had a couple times where it would bug out and say it was paused and it wasnt. Or I would have the 'mute' text on my screen but its not actually paused, or it will be paused on some clients and not others. Happened a lot today but I attribute a good deal of it to being the initial setup; definately odd though.

Yup. thats what it does.. It sucks.

Seems to be directly related to cpu load. I.E. The harder I push my machine (more clients, more on screen) the more its apt to happen.

Also, if you wait 2 seconds before you type, or whatever, then the mute seems to set.

poping mute and then instantly typing seems to cause the error.

CTRL + ALT + DELETE, Task manager, Processes, Keyclone, right click, Set priority, Realtime.

I'm experiencing the same thing, it started yesterday out of nowhere, while nothing in my setup has changed (except upgrading a trial account to a full account :D).

Also setting cpu priority for keyclone doesn't help, and like someone above said typing immediatly or waiting a few seconds doesn't matter.

If I click on the override button on the keyclone window it works normally, only the hotkey is causing the problem.

I've been having the same error, I've tried everything that was suggested, but with no luck.

It's not that big of a deal, it's just one of those little nuisances, it also just makes me look like a jackass when I spam a channel. And that is something I've decided I can live with.

Side note: Spamming Barrens chat with 5 toons generally ends the "Chuck Norris" convos.

I dont know, even with 5 clients running I still sit at around 70-80% usage, and I used maximizer to spread the clients between cores (2 on core 1 and 3 on core 2) So there is a little overhead left to do other things and doing those other things dont lag or anything.

Currently what bugs me the most is that sometimes the mute icon will only appear on some clients whether they are muted or not and I cant always tell until I type, most of the time if it doesnt display it on all clients then it is not actually paused. The issue is when this happens sometimes it takes several cycles of the pause key to actually get them to pause. Made for quite a few laughs in the valley of trials last night where sometimes I would say things 5 times to people, and then sometimes followed by another accidental 5x oops..

I think it may be. When I was 2 or 3 boxing I never had the issue but as soon as I added a fourth box and my cpu usage was close to 100% keyclone would act up like the OP mentioned.

edit: and by boxing I mean clients running on the same machine

My CPU usage is down around 65% with 5 clients open, and I still have the pause "bug".

The mute icon will display but sometimes I can still type on all clients. Initially I was thinking it was something with my keyboard, so it's good to know that I'm not the only one with this problem.

Could it have something to do with running more than 3 clients that the problem occurs?

I don't believe that it always occurs when the CPU is overloaded. I still get the problem even when I'm not in major cities.

My CPU usage is around 50-60% with 4 clients open, every client runs on a different core, but as stated before it started yesterday and I'm already running my 4 clients for about a week

I sit at 33% usage. When I quad box. And like everyone is saying the Mute icon only appears on some screen or all but even if it says mute it still passes keys.

i'm at work... ran 6 notepads... added to keyclone... typed, paused, typed, unpaused, etc.. worked fine. (please try same test to see if it works for you... when you add the notepads, click 'Add' and then click then center of the edit area... NOT the titlebar, frame, or menu)

i think it's related to cpu load. keep in mind, if you are on a multi core and your cpu is at 80%... one of the cpus could be pegged. watch the loads and see if the active wow is at 100% for its cpu. if so, consider dropping the maxfps to lighten the load... which could give some help to PAUSE

I just reformated, Ill run a few more tests now that Im under xp and report my findings.
