I'm currently leveling 5 palas, but am thinking of dropping one of them for a DK.
Would that be a foolish thing to do? I've not played a DK before and am keen
on trying it out ... but not sure how DK/Pala would play together. (Would
be leading with the DK).

well, they would do good with gaining the added healing from the pally's judgement of light spell. and if i'm not mistaken, the dk's bonus to spells for group/raid would increase the amount healed from hits, would it not? should boost the pally's consecration as well.

Pally consecration times 4 is awesome. Its like as soon as the humaniod starts to run away they die from consecration . I love it.

Well, you have until level 58 to decide if you want to level them all together ;) I'm levelling up 5 paladins at the moment as well, and have a 60 DK waiting to tank in place of my prot if I decide to do that. Until then he's on boost duty -- I'm not on RAF so my levelling might be going something like -- level all 5 up at the same time, do collections on my prot pally but none of the others, and once he gets ahead, boost the other 4 a little bit. I boosted them from 8 to 15 or so then decided to catch the paladin tank up -- I've already got an 80 DK tank on my main server (pretty much decked out in pre-raid epics) so I wanted to see what a paladin tank can offer. If I decide I want the DK tanking I can keep levelling my 5 DKs from 58 as well ;)

My experience is that mixed melee teams are bad. It's just too much damn micromanagement. I tried druids + rogues all kitty form and it wasnt pretty. I have done all Dk and it was awesome and all hunter (+healer for later) and they are awesome as well. I think the difficulty of multiboxing ramps up significantly when you have to worry about cooldowns of multiple classes, especially when they are not spammable.
