Blue post:

"One thing I can tell you is that chest piece heirlooms will be available in the next content patch. They will provide a 10% experience bonus that stacks with the shoulder bonus. "

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17631614834&pageNo=2#36

So 1.1*1.1 = 1.21 = 21% faster leveling - woot - when is "next content patch" - I really need this for my straggler teams

stacks with rested as well.

There will be some requirements on the chest pieces though i think (haven't read the linked article, but the one on wowinsider)

uh ouch, I rejoiced too early - it seems you may need Crusader title to get access to those:

http://www.wowwiki.com/Crusader_(title)

Crusader is a title obtained by earning the achievements Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance or the Exalted Argent Champion of the Horde, which involve earning exalted status with and the right to represent the entire Alliance or Horde in the Argent Tournament, plus exalted status with the Argent Crusade.

That's a loong grind for RAF'ed toons that have no rep with anyone - maybe I can get it somewhat easily with my ambassador but that would be only 1 chest... :-(

You should have it by the time the next expansion comes out :p

I've got a possible solution to this. Of course, it will cost you some real money. Use your Ambassador to grind for the gear, send it to a new alt then transfer that alt to one of your other accounts, that is if you have the extra room to do so. Then get a new piece using your Ambassador and do this again, but send the new piece to another account. Will cost ya, if possible to do, but atleast you wouldn't have to grind the hell out of a new toon to get it.

What's your source for that, Moorea?

The only blue posts I could find on it (like the ones in this thread (http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=9520916815&sid=1&pageNo=4#71)) are totally non-commital about exactly how you'll get the chestpiece.

If you could post a link, that'd be great :)

So... in order to spend less time grinding... you first have to grind some more :)

There's no link to an official source there though. Unfortunately, the Under Development (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/argent-tournament.html) page does link the two together:

A new line of dailies and rewards for players who have earned the title of Crusader will be available with two random seal-awarding dailies.
New Heirlooms
[...]

Damn. I didn't even bother with the Argent Crusader quests. At all.

It is true that you must spend time to get this...

HOWEVER, I think you guys are missing that this in an account bound item. Once you have grinded out the rep for the chest just once, you'll never have to grind it out again as you can just trade it to how many ever alts you want too.

The fact that this stacks with the shoulders is very sexy.

Damn. I didn't even bother with the Argent Crusader quests. At all.3 of mine have done a couple days worth, but I'm might as well be starting from scratch. The portal in 3.2 will make it easier to get there, though.

The Tourney is Wrath's Skettis/Ogrila/Netherwing, but with better rewards. I've only done Netherwing on one character, will probably not do it again.

This. My L80 hunter has been parked for some time now, gave up raiding and got into boxing. She's never even visited the Tournament Grounds yet...

Then again I'm also shy to admit I don't own a single heirloom item yet <blush>. My boxing/boosting plan will still involve one or two toons left as stragglers to level on their own so I want to get them the weapon, shoulder, chest heirlooms.

Meh, I know how you feel, but in reverse. I haven't touched my boxed accounts in a while because of school (started going again, 5 nights a week). My shammies and druid are still at poor old 63

This damn RL stuff keeps getting in the way of our boxing. The other day my daughter told me she was hungry. I tol her she was 3 1/2 and she should be able to make some food and make some too while your at. ;)

Pippin I feel your pain, the other day my daughter said I'm hungry while I was boxing. And I'm like "But I fed you yesterday! You cant be hungry again." So yeah darn RL stuff always getting in the way of my virtual life.

That would be if you don't want to box your alts... I'm working on getting 5 shoulders (well 4 as I already got 1 from my first 80) and so I would need 5 chests too... (though transfering...) I wish they would make BOA be Bind On Battle.net Account instead of Bind on Realm&Faction as today

It's not bad, a few weeks of dailies + rep grind. I'd just do it on one toon and then transfer across accounts.

Why wouldn't you be able to box your alts by having this chest piece?

my guess is that he's implying ONE main, and with one of the alts on its account, and 4 other alts on different accounts, not necessary with a high level main each.
technically,if you want to 5 box with those shoulders chests, you need to have 5 boxed you mains with rep grinds etc.

edit: chest pieces, not shoulders

edit: chest pieces, not shouldersWhy the hell wouldn't you just multibox grind for all that rep? No I wasn't implying in my orginal post that one should grind that rep on just one toon. I meant that once you got all the rep you need on ONE TEAM there wouldn't be any need to ever do it again.

Moorea

Tdog: yes I read "Once you have grinded out the rep for the chest just once" as "once" as in 1 not "once for each toon of the team" - glad you clarified what you meant though I'm not sure you needed to appear so worked up about it - not a big deal (and no grinding 5x and grinding 1x isn't quite the same, there are several quests, not counting cloths turn-in that are easier to do for 1 with help of more than have to fully do 5x)

If you do the Argent Tournament dailies ( both Champion & Valiant ) you could easily get Crusader title in a few weeks spending an hour a day doing these dailies. All my toons are exalted Argent Crusade already from the dailies, just need exalted with all the horde cities. If you do the dailies right, you can get 2000 city rep a day ( you have to take the Champion's Writ instead of the Champion's purse ) and 1250 Argent Crusade rep. Just don't complete The Valiant's Charge for a race/city until you are exalted with them. I'm sure by the time 3.2 rolls around I'll easily have Crusader on all my toons.

Also on the jousting quests you can "cheat" by having your other toons shoot your jouster. Makes jousting real easy.

I've only done a bit of research on these quests - didn't even know where they were located in Icecrown till this post tipped me off to the chestpiece. I'm out of town or I'd check myself, but a question for those of you that have done some of the quests:

Are the quests things like kill quests that are easy to box and get credit on all 5 toons at once?

From what I've read they seem more like individual quests or collection quests that being in a group doesn't help with at all. Doing 6 kill quest dailies for 5 toons per day might take 20 mins total, while doing 6 collection quest dailies for 5 toons per day might take 3 hours. Which group do these quests fall in? That makes all the difference as to whether it is worth it or not to grind this just for the chest heirloom items (nothing else you can buy interests me in the least).

LoL...Okay you guys are totally misreading my RL mood. I was in no way worked up at all. I assume because I used the word "hell" that you thought I was pissed off or perhaps it was because I bolded and underlined "one team" when it was just meant as emphasis for clarification rather than, me yelling at anyone. :P

Trust me I'm a very laid back guy irl, if it ever seems like I'm getting pissed off on the forums, chances are you're simply misinterpeting my mood. It's also why I use alot of the smiley face icons as people have misread me online in the past.

I'd like to know what kind of investment i'm looking at for my 5x team to see if it's worth it. Much appreciated.

I actually can't stand any of the tournament dailies except the Field Training ('http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13786') one - so i just always pick it up when I do my Icecrown route, since that always kills plenty of scourge.

Boxable:
- [80 Daily] A Blade Fit For A Champion -or- [80 Daily] The Edge Of Winter -or- [80 Daily] A Worthy Weapon
- [80 Daily] A Valiant's Field Training
- [80 Daily] At The Enemy's Gates
- [80G3 Daily] Threat From Above
- [80 Daily] Taking Battle To The Enemy
- [80 Daily] Battle Before The Citadel
Not Boxable:
- [80 Daily] Among the Champions
- [80 Daily] The Grand Melee

I do 5 of the 6 boxable ones in about 30m. The one I skip is the random weapon one, as it makes you fly somewhere out of icecrown. The first 3 boxable ones are valiant, the other 3 are champion.

The tournament grounds are a Sanctuary. The two non-boxable dailies are there, but the rest require you to leave the Sanctuary.
