Well ran my RAF to death and am happy with my teams. After getting a Pallyx4Sham team to 80, I went for the mage team. Im looking for ANY tips on mage multiboxing. However more specifically what to fill the last spot with, if anything? I can easily fit a druid, pally, sham, mage or dk to be the snakes head. Mage is easy and feels comfortable, however I fear my "head" getting chopped off allot. I can switch leaders dynamically of course, if that is the wise thing to do? Wondering if the 5% crit, buffs, totems, heals or survivablity another class would add, compansate for the more complicated and perhapes out of sync play style of the mages with another class. Forgive me for the rant, but this is a hard spot to fill! ;(

Thx in advance for any help! :)

"UPDATE" I ended up choosing a holy pally to heal them, although its fairly bad with the only insta cast heal they have is HS. Working on a druids team, will take one druid to heal my mage team. If that doesnt seem to fit its back to RAF for a priest. :P

Edit for update and pics :)

Guessing this is for PVP and dailies? An unholy DK is nice for the spell damage boost. Would get eaten alive in PVE for heroics with no healer.

Could do like Xzin did for pvp and run 4 mages and a priest, classic setup. Prolly more fun to pvp with tremor totem though.

I run a priest/4 mage team and tbh the playstyle seems perfectly fine for me. I use the priest as my main and even though its still wearing some level 70 pvp gear (Yeah I'm terrible :P) it seems to survive pretty well in most situations. [as disc]

edit: I know it seems like I have a priest/4mage agenda I'm pushing but its the only mage combo I've tried and it seems to work well enough

why not try a boomkin as main? Nice boost for you mages, and the chicken should be able to take a bit more of a beating (and can shift to heal/rez/brez/stealth if needed)

It always made me sad that boomkin aura never stacked, but could you imagine a five druid team if it did? :P

just made me think of a 5 hunter group with Aspect of the pack, if that stacked :-)

Just wanted to update this for anyone else who may find use of it. My mages do well in SOTA, WG, AB and AV. Warsong Gullch It seems Im easy to contain, and they AOE me down fast. The play style I chose was a simple insta-cast burst team, relying heavily on potions and Evocation for mana drops.Often I take only the 4 mages, as my pally healer seems to slow the fast pace of the mages. For the most part can 2 shot any class, and with higher hp or healed targets use my engineering trinks for large bursts.

Arcane Barrage is the bread and butter, Fireblast is also nice for high burst. Chain freeze and ice lance destroys melee's and Invis + Mirror Image helps vs fear happy teams and vehicles. With this setup I almost never stop moving and absorb most of my dmg with Mana Shield. I had a holy pally laying around at 80 that I lead and heal with them, although I am working on an insta-cast healing druid, as I predict it will fit better with the mages.

I have not sworn by any talent build, and am still testing different builds for practical use. Thnx again for the info!

Stacking True Shot Aura would work for me here :D Just wish that the Hunter's Mark still stacked also.

the 5x Druid combo gets my  - who needs stacking auras, when you can just set 15x trees on people :P
