/LOL AV Weekend! 5 Ret Palis = Fun for horde!

:D So I just dinged 80 with my Palis late last week and this weekend was AV weekend. WoW Tons of fun and I just had to post a funny short story of one amazing AV match I had over the weekend.

I was tired of always following the group and running to Aid Station to end up losing AV because we don't have any good tanks and alli is so much faster.

So instead, I ran into our leaders room and waited for alliance to rush in as they have been doing. Pretty much all they have been doing all day was rushing to aid station and taking GY and then going stright to leader with no caps. As they had a full premade just owning us over and over.

Me (5) Ret Paladins and 3 others with a couple of healers are sitting in the room waiting for them to show up...

We hear them unmount and they start to stream in. I then start on my detruction fest and within about 2 mintues, we just wipped the whole alliance AV raid. 3 of my Palis died by the end of it but of my last 2 that survied I had 30 HKs and our offensive team said "Oh. Sh*t, Alliance just wiped it's now a turtle" /lol

Me and the small band that stayed behind /lol and we ended up winning that AV match.

Wish I had a video of it as it was classic and shows the might of Ret Palis :P

I ran into another boxer in AV for the first time last night from US-Draenor. Way better gear then me but he ended up doing the same thing with his team (4 shammies). Went between Frostwolf/Relief Hut just cleaning house with like 10 others. I ended up killing him a few times but not nearly as many times as I died. There was just too many horde for me to handle and by the time I saw him it was too late or I had no mana or something always.

I have 5x Human Paladins so I'm usually the one rushing the RH :D. However after we get the RH I rush back to IBT or TP, whichever has the shortest amount of time till capping. Once that caps I rush back to the keep, by the time I get to the keep the east and west twr are about ready to go down. I then rush into Drek's room with my 1xProt and 4xRet pallies and and proceed to own face, even if one of the towers didn't burn I can handle drek+1 WM.

I actually have a 2nd Horde pally team in the works atm, I know I'm crazy :P , at level 64. Once I get up to 80 I'm planning on doing basically the same tactic. Rush AS, then run back to SHB or IWB and then run back and make sure the north and south bunks burn and you should be able to handle Vann + 1 Marsh.

Edit: Unfornately, pvp in AV isn't that melee friendly, so instead of charging into the horde durning turtles just to get mass kited/aoe'd to death, I just chill with the healers/casters destroying any melee stupid enough to try to rush in to kill them, which actually really helps to push the horde back.

Ever since I saw Ellay's vid of him popping his elementals in Galv's room and taking on a load of people, I wanted to try that. It works about 1/2 the time for me.....sometimes it is just better to run in right after the opposing team engages the boss. Most are just worrying about boss and fail to see me + elementals in the back tearing up their healers. Either way, it is a fun tactic.

I see you met my new 5box team. It took me a while to realize you where a Multiboxer, I kept wondering didn't I just Kill Garez? It wasnt until I saw the trademark "WAAAAAAAA" Chain Lightning show (and 3 of my guys die) until I realized you were a boxer, funny stuff!

Wait, wait.. why 2 groups of pallies? Im not sure I understand... unless you are 10boxing?Because Alliance blows at BG's, at least on my battlegroup, and I really don't have time to do any kind of organized activity on the game like raiding, and because I'm a little pyscho :wacko:

Plus I see it as a great utiltiy team for the future, not to mention melee is actually fun to quest with compared to caster teams. At least for me.

it will be interesting to see if loladins will still be powerful after the upcoming changes. I wonder sometimes.

I also kick myself for not leveling a group of 5 when lich king was launched. oh well.Actually I see them being a bit more powerful in the end with the upcoming changes. Not vastly as there are a few nerfs but there are some buffs as well.
