Hey everybody,

I have the following system:
Intel Q6600
8GB RAM (DDR2 800)
ATI 4850 with 512MB @ Ati Catalyst 9.4 for Windows 7
Windows 7 RC x64
2x 19" Iiyama

When I play 1 WoW, it runs super smooth. When I start the second WoW client, the login and character screens also are very smooth, but when I enter the game, my whole PC starts lagging. Both WoW clients will start running at 1 FPS and the whole system becomes almost unresponsive until I close one of the WoW instances.

I have tried playing with the CPU affinity and priorities, but none worked.

Do you have any clue what this might be? Maybe someone that had the same problem? Since I think my setup should be good enough? The graphics card isnt thát good but at least it should be sufficient. I also played 2x WoW on my previous installation, which was Vista 32 I think, when I only had 4GB.

What power supply are you using?

keyclone

if you are using keyclone, make sure to set the fields just below the wow:username in the command editor

also, turning off shadows... helps a lot

I have a 480W powersupply. My system runs every game and virtual machine stressed easily, so I don't think that's it.

Not using keyclone, but I'm gonna try that shadows tip now, thanks!

Edit: no lag with the shadows off. Thanks man, so stupid that I didn't think of that :pinch: Thanks a lot again!

Hey Hey,

I run the same CPU/8gb ram setup as you & I found I had to use Vista x64.

It could be your drivers too Windows 7 is still not fully supported.
