I've search all over, haven't been able to find good mining macros, especially for multiboxers. I know you can /cast skinning but it does not seem to work with mining. Google turned up nothing but unanswered forum posts as well:(

My idea here is going to be something like a castsequence - first guy mines, closes loot window, second mines... up to 5th which loots.

My grand scheme is to be able to camp 5 separate zones and memorize the timing/rotations and have each toon run through and essentially monopolize whatever I'm farming. This would be done very early in the morning to eliminate competition.

Well there's hundreds of possible spawn locations and only so many are spawned at a time. You would need 1 account for each spawn spot to keep it monopolized. That's alot of accounts.

How would you run/fly around in separate areas at the same time? I don't see how it could be any better than solo mining.

As for macroing it maybe you could set up a right click broadcast using different modifiers for different characters. Might work if you put them all on first person view.

Hey Smoooth ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=User&userID=13616') I believe what he is doing is that his main is not the miner, but one of the alts, and for example his main is a herb. so they can both go around herb/mine at the same time so he does not have to click over every 5 sec when he comes to a node

I pick at least 3 zones containing ore that's worth a lot. On character 1, I loop around the zone and get everything. On character two, I do the same in the other zone, On character 3, same in another zone. Go back to character 1 and there should be respawns.

I'm not sure if it changed since pre-bc when I did a lot of mining, but I found given the respawn timers and the distance between the next zone with the highest spawn rate for a particular ore, that if you could only have a toon camping each spot you could make a fortune.

So anyway.. anyone know of any macros?

if you're doing 1 toon at a time why would you need a macro ?
anyway, there is no macro or ways to interact with nodes or herbs (beside mouse)

Does the interact with mouseover key work if you zoom the camera right in? I havent actually tried it as im not at my main pc now. I guess the other problem with that would be other characters getting in the way, but if you are really averse to clicking across windows you could always bind a seperate set of movement keys for the miner character.

you said above you were doing different zones with different toons - I don't see how a macro would help that even if it worked... to be honest it started to sound more like you wanted to bot than play

I think he just wanted a macro to get a whack off from each character every node. That way they each get a skill up. After he levels it up seems like he wants to farm multiple zones 1 after another with a toon in each of them. Hopefully I am understanding it right now.

I know a few patches ago they changed mines to only allow 1 mining of them. Does this still allow different characters to get a skill up if you dont loot it?
