Guys im having this problem with 2 WoW screens :P

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1625/lalalalaalajg9.jpg

As you can see i want those boxes around the edges of the screen away. They are really bothering me. Is there any way to get those in an other color or in better edges? I already thought at a new Windows XP Style that colorises everything. How do you guys solve this if your having 4 boxes on 1 screen?

Kind regards,

Thanks,

same again
use maximiser

you can fill the whole monitor with the 2 screens. I would set the screens one upon the other. If you really want it abreast including the black space, use the CT mod with CT_Viewport.

Read up a little on Maximizer. You can basically set it to carve your monitor in 1/2 and you'll be able to utilize every pixel of your screen...

I know Maximizer has been talked to death, but a short rundown is this:

Put maximizer in your WoW directory. When you run it, it calls the WoW.exe file.

Command to start it is something like this:

[code:1]maximizer.exe --margin 0,0,0,800[/code:1]

The four numeric values are the the number of pixels from an edge to have this session run. The are in the order: Top, Bottom, Left, Right. So my example says "from the very top to the very bottom, From the very left to 800 pixels from the right edge."

If you have a 1600x1200 screen, that'll fill the left side with a WoW session.

For your second session, start Maximizer like this:

[code:1]maximizer.exe --margin 0,0,800,0[/code:1]

That should carve your screen basically in half with two WoW sessions...

You can also put the margin settings in the maximizer.ini file... Hope that helps.

so you'd want to just have a colored window in the empty region? hmm... i could add that (noone's ever asked for that before)

it's on the list

nono :P

I want to have only my 2 WOW screens and the rest black. And maybe you should add to the list: Copy a Maximiser screen its nice if you have the resolution and lock it so you cant drag the size of the windows :P

Completely off topic...

Negativ who is your background?

Also I may be just asking a completely noob question here but what is up with the effect that goes over everything but WoW? Is that just a vista thing?

Hmmm... So my question to you would be why would you NOT want to take advantage of all your desktop for the game windows?

If I were you, I'd split your screen horizontally and set your resolution via the WoW config file appropriately.

If your monitor is 1920x1200, I'd run with two windows of 1920x600, or maybe make one bigger than the other...

Just don't see the point in having dead areas if there's no reason to... (To each their own of course.)

if you have a 1920x1200 screen... split vertical... 960x600 would be good

edit: err... 960x1200 ... pretty close to a square
