EVEBoxing Software - suggestions/thoughts?

Couple of things:

Firstly is anyone using any mutliboxing software for playing EVE? If so what are you using it for and would you recommend it? EVE seems to be one of those games that doesn't benefit from multiboxing software as there are no keystrokes to broadcast and mouse broadcasting is not very useful as far as I can see. I've tried using keyclone to launch EVE but the splash screen messes with the startup procedure so it doesn't work very well, once you get past that then the resizing feature doesn't work as EVE seems to use some sort of direct mouse input that prevents mouse broadcasting.

Secondly if someone (possibly me) were to write or adapt some EVEBoxing software what features would you want in it? Obviously launching and positioning clients would be a start but what other features would be useful? Automatic login? Key/mouse broadcasting? any thoughts?

I think this is basically a case where the only "good" solution would be to intercept the data stream, which is probably against the TOS.
EVE has a very mouse centric UI, and is very dense with information and data.. I think it will be quite hard to write useful boxing software for EVE.

If it had a macroish system for acting on broadcasts, it could be doable I think.

"You are welcome to use multiple accounts at the same time, no matter how many accounts you are using.

What we understood you were asking with regards to multiboxing, was controlling all of those account with a single keystroke program or mouse click copy program.

To make it more clear: You may use as many accounts as you wish at the same time, however you may not use a program to control more then 1 account at the same time with the same keystrokes/mouse, you will need to actually switch between the windows to control them."

i had a very different response from a GM a really long time ago (about 2 years ago) when i was using multiple computers with the same mouse and keyboard.
at that time he didnt see the problem in this. maybe it changed then.

i dont have the msg anymore so cant really argue this.. :S

I also find that responses from EVE GMs are patchy at best and not always actually indicative of a real policy per se. It seems that EVE GMs are quite amateurish and liable to interpret things in their own personal way.

However I wasn't suggesting creating something that could make macros, that would definitely be against the EULA.

Maybe you're joking but actually that would be a nice feature to start with. It might be harder than you think because the operating system tries to prevent applications from raising other programs' windows to the foreground except under certain narrow circumstances. It would be a nice introduction to fighting with the operating system which you'll be doing a lot of if you pursue this project. :)
