Challenge: Take down the Pit Commander.

Any of you boxers in good gear take him ('http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=18945') out yet? He doesn't hit hard at all melee and doesn't have all that many HPs. But his rain of fire does like 60k/tick. Obviously, I have trouble with him. Anyone else killed him?

If his rain of fire ticks for 60K he would oneshot even well geared tanks aka i have my doubts its possible! :)

Someone on wowhead suggested you can continuously kite him and avoid the rains of fire. He kited him back to Thrallmar where the guards took care of him, probably the safest way of doing it. :)

220k hp is realy low, i mean i deal atleast 60-70k with LB+EM+FS+LvB+CL with pvp gear. Killing him should take less then 30 seconds with bloodlust.

So it should be possible to spread out to avoid the aoe and possible let one or two die, if he doesnt hit hard your tank should survive it with a few cooldowns. (lay on hands+divine protection)

Shouldn't he hit for far less than 60k with the insane fire resists possible in Wrath?

Is the rain of fire interruptable?

I killed him a few weeks ago. DK tanked, possibly could have survived the first RoF had I been more adept with AMS, IF.

He didn't have time to recast RoF before the Shammies nuked his arse down.
