ive tried octopus for using a mouse on all my machines for boxing in wow. works alright but each mouse click doesnt always click the same spot exactly everytime and yea ive tried all the settings and ive spent days and hours on it.. just is not reliable.. since im using 3 pcs with 2 wow copies running on each pc (5 boxing dk's)and one on my main. Now i was wondering if there is a program out that puts like an overlay where ever you want it such as your hotbar in wow the 1-= and that overlay you can label each block of that overlay to send a keystroke when its clicked.. such as you click on your spell #2 on your toolbar with your mouse in turn this program sends out keystrokes via keyclone or whatever program triggering your other guys spells so there would be no need for multiple mouse across the screen and a much more reliable program.

Yep.

But seeing as how you gave up on IS because of your 3rd PC having some sort of networking issue, then no you wont find anything like that

The mouseclick location is 100% reliable. You're just Doing It Wrong(tm). :P

OK, seriously. Here's how you get it to work reliably:
Make sure all clients are the exact same aspect ratio in the WoW in-game video resolution setting. Example: 800x600=1.3333 aspect ratio; 1280x1024=1.25AR; 1920x1200=1.6AR. Thest MUST match AR's for the click to scale correctly. Just do the math and pick the same AR modes on both main and clients. I have mine set to 800x600 on the slaves and 1400x1050 on my main. Make sure your in-game "UI Scale" setting is identical. If not, your UI elements (unit frames, buttons, etc.) will be different sizes/positions. Easiest way to do this is to go into \WoW\WTF\Config.wtf and change the "SET uiScale "0.75" variable to the same on all 5 accounts. (Note: need to have closed wow first for this to work.) Make sure your maximizer (in keyclone or octopus or maximizer.ini or wherever) sets your video resolutions to the same as you set up in step 1 above.I have these three done and I can authoritatively say that you can click TINY spots in the same place with Octopus. Even as fine-grain as clicking between two letters in a macro when editing them. ;)

Hope that helps.

You can achive something like 'VirtualButtons' with HKN (for the checking which region is clicked and broadcating).
But HKN has no ability to draw 'overlays' so for this you might want to use something like kgPanel in WoW.

A quite good explanation how the above could be achived can be found here:

Nice post, Ugh. Clear and accurate. Those instructions apply to Hotkeynet as well as Octopus (and probably any program that broadcasts clicks to WoW). The post would make a good sticky imho.

thanks for all your reply's but i got clickboxer to work and im using the overlay over my 1-= hot bar of wow and my right hot bar and i must say omg its so pimp and nice to be able to use your mouse clicking spells on your screen while clickboxer sends the keyboard strokes to your other pc's no more using keyboard like a madman for me!
