Not sure if this goes here or in group makeup - pls move if applicable.
I play on a PvP server but am quite interested in a 5xPally group. However I think I am going to have a lot of hassle from just about any ranged player. Looking for some insights here please.

If thats your fear, use the extended stun glyphs on your toons and your stun chain locks will end any toons day before they can say, "Antidisestablishmentanterisum!"

It's not something you can macro, but here's how I'm using it:
I have a 3 member leveling team: 80 lock, 70 Pally, 70 Priest. Lock is leader.
The lock picks a target, starts attack. I have "interact with target" set to "`", so I can hit "1", then "`", and the pally runs to the target and starts beating on it, her main attack macro is on 1 along with everyone else. Priest stays in the rear with the gear with the lock, and they blast away.
Switch target? hit "`" again, she runs to the next target.
It's AWESOME.
I've mis-pulled a few times since using this, and it's a huge difference, I survive now, because I put as much plate on the pally as I could afford, and all I have to do is have her flash some light and all aggro is on her, leaving time for the lock and priest to get out of the way.
It's not complete control, but it's enough to make a huge, huge difference. If you set up your targeting right (I'm working on that now), you can hit one key and send your characters off to battle.
Just be careful not to hit the key too many times, my pally gets confused when I do that, and she bolts over the horizon. :D
Seriously, with some creativity and the right keybinds and macros, you should be able to handle multiple mobs of all types with this new ability.
I pvp all the time with my pallies and I have no issues with ranged dps.
First I have 1xProt 4xRet Team
All have pursuit of justice so they already outrun most classes.
Second Prot Pally can Shield of Avenger them to not only slow them way down but to also silence them at range.
You also can put repentance which I believe has a 30 yd. range, I'd have to look again, on round robin with your 4 rets in tow.
No ranged class ever outruns me if I don't want them too :D
Even if they do start to get away from you alittle quick 3sec mount onto your epic flyer w/crusader aura and your flying faster than every other class in the game except other pallies of course.
Druids are the only one's who have a chance in hell of escaping you and that's only because they have an instant cast flight form.

i have 'click to move' selected in the mouse options across all my slaves but not main so that my melee team starts to head toward their target once i hit my 'tab' button with i have 'interact with target' bound to on them. but i also have 'jambafollowme all' macroed into my 'invite team' button, and a separate button set to turn that off when needed, I use the down arrow key on main with this macro and have the same key set on slaves to step backwards. i'm wondering tho can 'click to move' be macroed? so that i can turn it off when i need to?

slightly off-topic but related:
Is a 5xPally group capable of doing all 5 man heroic content just as well as some of the more tested combo's?

I've cleared just about all the heroic bosses with my paladin group alot easier than I did with my shaman team.
