Hi to all from a new dual boxer (long time lurker). I got going with a RAF team yesterday and after a bit of tinkering I got Synergy working between my PC and laptop. My only problem is that the server (my pc) drops to desktop every time I mouse over to my laptop, dropping my WoW to the taskbar. My laptop doesn't do that. I'm running vista 64 on the PC and windows xp on the laptop. Any idea how to fix that? Did I miss a button somewhere? Thanks!

Run WoW in "windowed" mode instead of full screen.
There's an option somewhere in the video options - right next to the "windowed mode" check box if I remember correctly - that will remove most of the border and make it look just like full screen anyhow.

Thanks Otlecs....I'll give that a try tonight. :)

In synergy there is an option about bringing forground window active or something, disable that. Also you will run into the spineroony mouse on client system. To fix that you will have to set a hot key to lock mouse to screen and toggle it each time if you ever plan to use mouse move. I would recommend you switch to Inputdirector. It does the exact same thing as synergy but does not have the problems mentioned above, and its easier to set up, along with other cool things like one click to shut down your all connected PC's and stuff.

I also highly recommend input director

I'll give input director a try. I had some wicked mouse lag as well with synergy, but when it's free it's hard to complain. Thanks!
edit: Okay, I was reading the info on Input director. It looks like it can pass macros to the slave. That would seem like a great thing in multi-boxxing. Does it function well for that?

Also, got o Master Preferences -> Master Keyboard LEDs reflect the status of the directed slave, UNCHECK this. it'll save you headaches later.
