I haven't read much up about this game. I'm assuming the main Sith in the cutscene was Darth Vader, who was the main Jedi in the scene?

I had zero expectations for this game since the beginning; I mean, why should they get a do-over from SWGalaxy. Then I saw that it was BioWare that was making this game and BioWare games have never disappointed me.

FACTS:
1. This trailer is fucking badassadness personified.
2. It is JUST a trailer and doesn't show game play at all.
3. Most MMO's have failed when trying to compete with WoW.

I'm very much taking a wait and see approach here. While I think it would be cool to play a bounty hunter, it is going to be difficult to present a fresh new take on a Star Wars any-type-of-game. However, I REALLY want this game to be awesome just to do something different than a swords and dragons MMO and be worth investing a bunch of time in.

I hope hope hope this game sucks so I never get hooked again like I did on WoW.....

That said, why is it Star Wars never really changes? I mean lightsabers and the guns never change even though its 3000 years before the movies. Hmm. /shrug

Personal feelings:

Cons
- It's yet another Star Wars universe game built on all the same principles, leaving little room to expand upon while staying within pre-existing storylines.
- So far doesn't appear to introduce anything new that hasn't already appeared in other games. Re-hashing the same stuff for the N-th time.
- SWG appeared and flopped pretty quickly, though that game put more emphasis on RP than adventure.

Pros
- Bioware: a cautious and meticulous company that places quality as one of its top measures.
- A well respected universe, so it will have a playerbase no matter what.
- A large universe at that. They can move the story far away from the standard known worlds/races if they choose.

As with any new promising MMO, I'll at least give it a try. Even SWG I tried out before I found someone else to simply take that account off my hands (god, that game was mind-numbing). I need to hear more about what the CONTENT is before I make any judgement calls. No amount of blasters and lightsabers can save the game if you're bored to tears all the time.
