Fun old stuff

I know some of you have done this ,but that Molten core as a 5 boxer is soo fun. I been in this game since beta and some what bored, dailies are too much like a job, and so on , but 5 boxing old stuff like this is fun after all the work I put into it years ago and making it through with my team is just cool for some reason.

Started doing some of that this week. Karazhan down today (minus Netherspite and Nightbane). Was hella fun. Looking forward to some of the pre-BC raids.

The funny thing is that I spent absolutely MONTHS in MC when it went live. I must have been there - quite literally - hundreds of times with my guild.

And yet every time I go in there on my own, without a nice tank to follow, I get hopelessly lost!

Same for Kara.

I really, really suck at navigating in instances :D

And don't get me started on BRD....

But, yes, I do get a buzz out of thrashing the old raid content and it's remarkably lucrative too!

Anyone figure out how the hell to get past Razorgore? There is just too many adds to be both killing eggs and killing adds :(

Edit: I really want full judgement on all my Paladins too :( And the real set not the ugly purple set out of TBC.

Edit: I really want full judgement on all my Paladins too :( And the real set not the ugly purple set out of TBC.Yeah you would have to be really fast to protect the controller if you try doing it all alone.

Although, if you are a pally team, you might be able to do it.

One Pally controls - he will become main tank when the eggs die - control the orb from the top as far back as possible.
Two others on the ramps spamming consecrate to grab aggro on adds - maybe a lower level to not kill them.
One to heal - standing up top trying to get healing aggro on the masses, pulling them up the ramps into the consecrate.
One other running trying to get any that aggro the dragon or controller or that just do not pull to the ramps.

The idea is not to kill them but to get as many on you as possible. Only 40 will ever spawn at one time and (if it does not bug out) they will run away when all the eggs die. The run around guy might need to kill the mages. But once you get to 40 two pallies should easily be able to handle them. If you can weed out casters and get to 40 melee or dragonkin it will be easy - getting to that is the hard part. But if you just run razorgore to the far ramp and not worry about eggs while focusing on controlling the adds, get them all aggroed to the tanking guys then swap your focus to killing eggs and ignore the adds while they beat on your tanks it might be doable. Would be fun to try!

I don't think I have the coordination (or the 5 pallies) to do it but I bet you could get it with some practice. I want to see the video.


You will want your Ony Cloaks ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=15138') for Nef and the 3 drakes - I did it with about 15-20 level 80s and Nef wiped us without them - went down pretty easily with them. The drakes were harder then they should have been without it but still doable. With 5 pallies it will make your life easier to wear them. If you don't have a decurser bring some Purification Potion ('http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=17572') so you don't have to wait for the curse to wear off if you get it from Chromie.


I personally love doing the old content, boxing or solo even in random groups. ZG is still my all time favorite instance.

I only just got my shaman crew to 80 but I did a mount run in ZG and a full clear of MC.

Both of those instances I raided until my eyes bled back in vanilla days.

Holy hell I had some fun.

T1 & T2 sets are a real goal of mine. I just like the fun of it all.

I have a good boxing mate who is keen to hit up the same stuff so BWL will be easy.

Gonna jump in MC this weekend and see what I can do, I never raided any classic content aside from 1 MC run and a handful of ZGs, I just wasn't a raider @ 60.
